POSTS STORIES REELS

I contributed some art to the latest Still Game comic, which just came oot recently. Not the cover art but one of the strips inside, I’ve shared some of my pencils (without colour or text) here! It’s a very Scottish affair, it’s always nice to work on Scottishy things! If anyone wants a copy it’s available here: https://www.officialstillgame.com @stillgamebooks by @charactercube

It's getting harder and harder to defend @adobe after this! Updated photoshop, now I can't access my cloud files. Thanks Adobe!

UPDATE: Managed to fix the issue, but I had to uninstall all my adobe apps and reinstall. Not great when you're already up against deadlines XD by @charactercube

Half study of The Kirna, an 1867 Scot’s Baronial masterpiece and half concept for my haunted hoose. by @charactercube

This feels better - but might need to be a bit bigger overall. The vis dev continues! by @charactercube

Would you go through this gate? 😅😅😅 by @charactercube

How can you create illustrations that tell a story? 👀

Swipe through Kenneth Anderson’s art breakdown to see the thought process behind one of his illustrations. From using values and composition to create focal points, to staging characters and guiding the viewer’s eye, every decision is intentional.

For example, notice how the ghost is positioned high above the children, while they’re pushed lower into the composition, making them feel vulnerable and cornered.

If you learn a lot from seeing art break downs like this, why not learn directly from Kenneth himself?
