When it comes to golf, building courses or just maintaining them, you’re constantly having to deal with what Mother Nature throws your way. So when we sat down with Chase Watson, the Director of Agronomy at Old Barnwell, we had to ask if there were any major learning experiences during the building of the course and of course Mother Nature had her hand in it. If you want to listen to the full interview, you can watch it on the Palmetto & Pine YouTube or you can listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify 🤝 by @chase405
The second course at Old Barnwell, The Gilroy, is almost ready for preview play so we had to ask Director of Agronomy, Chase Watson for some insight on what the course is like 🤔 The full episode is out now on the Palmetto & Pine YouTube channel, Apple Podcasts and Spotify so be sure to give it a listen. We dive into being apart of building OB from the ground up, everything you need to know about The Gilroy, the interesting agronomy side of building a golf course, and we get into everything OB has going on (which is quite a bit) so hope you enjoy! by @chase405

There’s a kind of beauty you only find where the signal fades and creation still speaks. Out here, God’s handiwork isn’t filtered or framed by a screen—it’s painted across the sky, whispered through the trees, and reflected in quiet waters. These are the places where memories are made that no paycheck can buy and no city can replace. Where laughter around a campfire lasts longer than high scores, and where time slows enough for gratitude to grow. You won’t find this sitting indoors chasing pixels, crowds, or the next dollar. You’ll find it under open skies, on worn trails, and in moments that remind you what really matters—and Who created it all. “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” — Psalm 19:1 by @chase405
