You don’t have to have it all figured out before you go, but there are some things that are nice to know beforehand. Save this for later so you can feel prepared for that next flight with kids 😊 1. Pack snacks (more than necessary) Familiar, non messy snacks = fewer meltdowns + keeps them occupied 2. Tablet pre loaded before leaving the house Download shows/games for offline use (Disney+ worked great without Wifi) 3. Paci for travel & sleep only. Especially helpful during takeoff/descent for ears. Lollipops also work! 4. Feed baby during takeoff (Breastfeed or bottle) helped with pressure + settling 5. Baby in a carrier while boarding. Hands free to help toddler, stow bags, and get settled (they can’t be in carrier for takeoff though) 6. 1-2 brand new, never seen before toys (let me know if you need some ideas) 7. Dress kids in layers/ pack light weight blanket. Planes are either freezing or way too hot (or maybe that’s just my postpartum hormones 🤷🏼‍♀️) 8. Always pack a change of clothes for each kid Plus a spare shirt for mom and dad... spit up, blow outs, snacks, throw up (yes this has happened) 9. Pack ziplock bags… trust me. Perfect for dirty clothes, messy snacks, trash, or toys you want separated from clean toys. 10. Don’t stress the nap schedule before boarding If it’s nap time, let them nap (if naps are a big deal for your family, choose flight times around them when possible) 11. Family boarding if applicable (SW said bye bye to that after assigned seating) 12. Ask about bathrooms with changing tables while boarding. Knowing where it is saves stress later “just in case” they’re usually only in the front of the plane (in my experience) 13. Gate check the stroller, TRUST ME Being able to use it through the airport is a game changer with a very tired toddler. We also brought the car seat on the plane for ages ~8-18months What did I miss? 👀 #travelingwithkids #travelingwithtoddlers #flyingwithkids #flyingwithbaby #momlife by @chasingfamilymagic
This magic was made for ALL ages. But what I can’t imagine is not getting to experience this with children who still believe everything is real. It’s just so magical ✨ What’s your favorite age to take them to Disney? It’s cliché, but all ages have been my favorite. They all have their challenges, but with those challenges, I wouldn’t trade the memories we’ve made even after meltdowns 🤍 #disney #disneywithtoddlers by @chasingfamilymagic
Glamping, but make it Disney 🏕️🌲✨ If adventure and outdoors is your vibe, then you’ll be happy to find out that this entire cabin with a full kitchen and 4 beds is more affordable than the deluxe standard rooms on property 🤑 We love these newly renovated cabins! The floor plan is a bit tricky if you have a baby in a crib… but for kids who are old enough for the bunks, this is such a hack to sleep the whole family and not blow your budget! Peep the way we set up the room when our baby was still sleeping in a pack n play 👀 #glamping #disneyvacation #disneyworld #familyvacation #familyadventures @disneyparks by @chasingfamilymagic
I couldn’t help it 🤭 I just don’t understand the mindset of waiting to do something, simply for the fact that your children are too young to remember. Some of my favorite memories as a mom have happened way before my kids will have any memory of them. But you know what they will have for the rest of their life? Pictures and videos. My toddler loves looking back at all the things we’ve done together and all the places he’s been. So yeah, you’re right, they won’t remember every trip. But they’ll experience wonder. They’ll build confidence. They’ll learn that trying new things is safe. They’ll spend time with the people who love them most. And if one day all they remember is that growing up felt adventurous, safe, and full of love… I think that’s enough for me 🤍 Take the trip. by @chasingfamilymagic
My takeaway after many trips to Disney with small children: don’t over plan. I think that goes for planning any kind of outing with littles 😅 We also decided against lightning lanes this day because there was only one ride on our radar. We stood in a 28 min line, that’s it! If you’re ready to book your Disney trip, I’m ready to help you for free! I just booked 2 vacations this past week for families traveling in 2027 🙌🏼 I can help you too! All I ever wanted was my kids to have a Disney Dad ✨ Don’t give up on your dreams 🤭 Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there, especially the Disney Dads!🫶🏼 by @chasingfamilymagic

Toy Story Disney bounding seems fitting this week ✨ (Oogie Boogie Bash September 2024) #toystory #ts #disneybounding #toystory5 by @chasingfamilymagic
The more you know…. The less you have to pack? 😉 If you’re a parent of kids who bed share on vacation or ready to ditch the crib safely… Disney resorts provide bed bumpers now! Sleeping arrangements while traveling with kids is something you probably haven’t given thought to until you are packing for the trip. Back in the day Disney used to provide bed rails (which only worked half the time) so this is a major upgrade on the behalf of Disney making travel easier for us parents!! Share this with someone planning their next Disney trip with kids! #disneywithkids #disneyvacation #disneyworldplanning #disneymom by @chasingfamilymagic
Answering lightning lane questions you didn’t know you had 🙃 Trust me, it’s better to know all of this ahead of time than find out the hard way. Save or share this for reference if you have some time before your trip! #lightninglanes #lightninglanemultipass #disneytips #disneyplanning #disneyquestions by @chasingfamilymagic
Day 2 ✨ EPCOT + how we plan our park days The most important thing to keep in mind when traveling with littles… Planning less is always more ✨ We made one reservation for the day, booked Lightning Lanes (specifically to ride the new version of Test Track), and left the rest open. And honestly? That flexibility ended up saving the day. What you don’t see is that Test Track was down for most of the day, so the plans changed almost immediately. Instead of stressing over it or rushing from one thing to the next, we slowed down, explored, enjoyed the little moments as a family, stopped for live music, and went back later in the day to ride Test Track. I know it’s tempting to over plan vacations to “make the most” of them, but with toddlers and babies especially, I really think the magic is in leaving room for the unexpected. Taking our time to walk around, enjoying a Mickey Bar, the random dance moments, the rides you stumble into with low wait times, the breaks you didn’t know you needed, or the drink you get to enjoy while watching a live band. Most of that doesn’t happen when you’re rushing off to the next thing. Before you know it, the day is gone. So Mom to Mom: Plan for plans to change. Leave room to pivot. And don’t rush through the moments trying to get to the next one 🫶🏼 If that sounds like your perfect Epcot day, then I’m happy to help you plan your very own. The perfect start to our magical vacation with a toddler and a 7 month old ✨ Spoiler alert: we aren’t a rope drop family… and I’m on a mission to share how we do Disney with low stress ☺️ The mistake many families make is trying to cram it all in. Instead, I always recommend choosing 2-3 must do things each day and then plan around those. And if a nighttime parade or show is part of that plan, make sure to take it easier during the day by planning in a resort day or time to rest 🙌🏼 I need to know, are you a rope drop fam? #ropedrop #disneyparade #disneyplanning #disneymom by @chasingfamilymagic
