FOOD PART 1- here are some memorable dishes from Barcelona and Rome along our travels. The food culture in Europe really is elite. One day us Americans will catch on. Until then, eat all the tapas 🤌🏼🔥 #barcelona #roma by @chef.on.the.fly

This has been quite a season for morels. Overall some of the biggest I’ve ever seen. After last years fire, Mother Nature provides this year. #fungi #morel #wapitifire by @chef.on.the.fly

Hey Fishing Fam, after the devastating fires in LA we have unfortunately lost a staple of the business, @wyliesbaitshop I have joined with Ginny’s nephew, James, in a bid to spread the word to our community. Any donations are more than helpful, and please help by sharing this post! LINK IN BIO #palisadesfire #fishing #supportlocal by @chef.on.the.fly

Happiest of birthdays to my person, my rock, my better half and the best dog mom around. I love you so much and every day you bring warmth to everyone around you. I can’t wait for more travels and experiences with you, and of course Mojito! ❤️ @calirose614 by @chef.on.the.fly

At it again down in MX with @fishingsayulita 🎣 Regis is a captain who will get you the fish you desire! He and his mate are top notch when it comes down to it. Told him I would love to catch a rooster, maybe a Spanish mackerel and a skipjack. Done, done and done. And to add to it a great fight with a nice Jack to end the day. And can’t beat the fresh ceviche and cold beers on the way home. And thanks @joshuaseesphotos for lending me some gear to battle these beasts! Til next time, Sayulita! #fishing #sportfishing #flyfishing #fishingmexico by @chef.on.the.fly

It’s the season. Nothing like getting out there, lost and wandering, scouting the forest floors for delicious culinary delights. #morelseason #foragedfood #stanleyidaho by @chef.on.the.fly

Alright…this was an unforgettable memory. Back in October when @calirose614 and I booked our trip to Mexico I knew I had to find a way to get out on the ocean and test myself with a new style of fly fishing. I found Regis of @fishingsayulita and damn, they did not disappoint. A few hours on the water, a few (really hard fighting) Mahi, pushing me to get on the fish, and more sweat than I can explain. We bagged around 20 fish on all different styles of fishing. Action was absolutely nonstop! And once again thanks to @fiberglass_fly_shack for helping me get all rigged up for this trip and @stanleyflyshop with me everywhere I go! 🤣 #fishingmexico #flyfishing #sayulita #mahionthefly by @chef.on.the.fly

Putting in work and reaping the rewards. Surf fishing on the fly will be the new test. Let’s goooo! Thanks @fiberglass_fly_shack for the tips and @stanleyflyshop with me everywhere I go!

Be careful out there, it’s spawning season! If your river is currently open, odds are the fish are still spawning. Be careful around any redds and make sure if you hook a fish that is spawning to treat it with as much care as possible. This beautiful lady was released very safely! #catchandrelease #flyfishing #flyfishidaho #springspawn @idahoangler by @chef.on.the.fly

It’s been a long long time since a food post 🤷🏻‍♂️ So, I have come to the conclusion, that in my travels I come to love specific dishes and try to remember them to recreate. Do you ever have a foreign dish you wish you could bring home? This is mine. A Northern Thai noddle soup, Khao Soi 🫕 originating in Chiang Mai, this soup is deep and spicy and cures the worst hangover you’ve never had 🤌🏼 #thaifood #sendnoodz #khaosoi #truecooks #familymeal by @chef.on.the.fly
