A Letter to Myself on My Birthday

25 July 2026

Dear Me,

Happy Birthday.

Today is not just another birthday; it is the beginning of a new chapter in my life. As I celebrate another year, I pause to reflect on how far I have come. Looking back, I see God’s faithfulness in every season—the victories, the challenges, the unanswered questions, and the unexpected blessings. Through it all, He has never left me.

This birthday feels different because it marks a new beginning. I am celebrating it in a new country, far from the place I once called home. The journey has not been easy. There have been moments of loneliness, uncertainty, and sacrifice, but every experience has shaped me into a stronger, wiser, and more resilient person. Every obstacle has been a lesson, and every delay has been preparing me for something greater.

Today, I want to tell myself how proud I am. I am proud that I had the courage to step into the unknown in search of a better future. I am proud that I kept going even when life became difficult. I may not be where I dream of being yet, but I am certainly not where I used to be, and that is worth celebrating.

As I step into this new year of my life, I choose to leave behind every fear, disappointment, regret, and limitation. I refuse to allow my past to define my future. Instead, I embrace hope, growth, discipline, and faith. I believe that every season has a purpose, and this season will bring opportunities that will change my life. by @chef_tobun
