I am STILL EMOTIONAL😭 by @chenae.mihaere

I’m getting married this weekend, without my dad by my side ❤️

This has always been my biggest fear, yet something that hasn’t been too big for God. He makes ALL things beautiful.

For as long as I can remember, I wished my dad walking me down the aisle, standing beside me as I stepped into one of the most beautiful chapters of my life. Coming to terms with the reality that this wouldn’t be my story has been a grief of its own.

There is a unique kind of heartbreak that comes with mourning moments you haven’t even experienced yet. The memories you thought you would make, and the presence of someone you always imagined would be there.

But God… ❤️

In the places where I expected heartbreak, He has met me with so much gentleness, love, and healing ❤️‍🩹 He has reminded me that my story is not defined by who is absent, but by the One who has never left my side.

And while there will always be a part of me that wishes things were different, I am reminded that I am not walking down that aisle as a daughter who has been forgotten, but as one who has been held, restored, and deeply loved by her Heavenly Father.

What I once feared would break me has become another place where God has shown me just how faithfully He can hold me.

It may not look the way I once imagined, but I look at what God has done and am so thankful ❤️
