week (idk what?) of my reno journey & we’re done stage 1: wallpaper removal which was layers and layers of different wallpapers through the duration that the previous owner’s stay. I also dk why when I bought this unit I didn’t notice the excessive amount of wallpaper & stickers and clearly wasn’t sure what I was signing myself up for initially. no hate but their design choices/ abomination clearly isn’t a part of my future ahead 🤪 on the bright side, I’m happy that i literally get to be hands on in doing this (with the occasional help from some friends here and there) as well! woohoo wallpaper hell is over!!!!!!!! #renodiaries #sgrenovation #dreamhome by @cherzburger_
Thought I was about to get interrogated when i came back to Malaysia… for CNY. Plot twist: it turned into encouragement instead. Sometimes the questions we fear during CNY aren’t meant to pressure us. Sometimes it’s just love and concern, expressed in a different way. Wishing everyone a reunion filled with more comfort than anxiety 🧧🤍 by @cherzburger_

Hehe new Reno update!!!! Procrastinated long whether to make this video or not but I eventually did. The ivory tiles was a complete colour disaster. I had anxiety just looking at the colour contrast between that tile & the lower wall tile 😭 More to come as I continue to document this dream home series ✌🏻❤️ #resaleflat #sgrenovation #renovationsg by @cherzburger_
this year’s almost ending difficult but had a great silver lining that came out of it proud. last 66 days till the year ends | more exciting times ahead! by @cherzburger_
hehe badminton vlog. happy one year anniversary to me & 🏸🏸🏸. chanced upon this sport only because I was sick of running & wanted to burn more calories. one hundred games in… 5 rackets… tons of clothes (stopped exercising in secondary school tshirts)… a few broken strings… crying otw home after a bad (leisure) game… crying AT the game… 3627172 suppers… a cancelled gym membership… retired running shoes… & the best kind of people in the community 😘 applaud my commitment towards something that I was initially bad at —> something I’m okok decent in 😊 but if I knew how expensive this sport is I might not have started this back then running is FREE eh ok but the amount of joy & smiles I’ve had is also unlimited. fair. p.s my friend took this photo for me another time (super random but I needed a headshot and I happened to be wearing this shirt for bmt also) #badminton by @cherzburger_
I realised I’ve not posted much on my journey so far…. despite me thinking that I have. I decided to tile my service yard & my bathroom and thereafter went on @taobao.official to source for unique colours & designs (mainly mosaic though). But fun fact: The actual shipment took awhile to come & it was quite costly in the end despite me picking a 3PF to ship the full 450KG over. So if you’re looking to save $$$, perhaps considering Singapore or JB for tiles might be better. Just that colour choices are slightly more limited I guess. But I’ve already decided on the tiles as of me filming this vid so not sure if yall can guess which colours I went with in the end??? Hint: I used 2 colours in my common bathroom! Can’t wait to share more in time to come!!! #notsponsored #renojourney by @cherzburger_
this weekend was nervy for me (idk why I felt so stressed for people around me but I guess I was hoping everything to turn out well —I’m glad everything eventually turned out more than excellent!!!) the union of my dear friends the birth of my new playmate and for myself, the $4.1k I spent on toilet fittings 🚽 It was indeed stressful but reminding myself that it’s a blessing to be stressed over things I’m blessed to have 🫶🏻 to have dearest friends to go thru big life milestones with & also to learn to enjoy the process of my own 👍👌 by @cherzburger_
never got to post this 🫶🏻 but throwback to my solo picnic with mantou (he made a friend!!!) by @cherzburger_
hehe post key collection things fun stuff back then before my wallpaper was removed respectfully, random stickers & LED with layers of random wallpapers are (in my personal opinion), a design abomination 🤣 BTW THIS IS NOT SPONSORED but idk what kind of genius moment made me list those items on @carousell.sg (I remember that town council only removes 2 items per month but I had 3 huge bulky items and it felt like a hassle having to schedule this) Just so glad I did yay!!! #resaleflat #renojourney by @cherzburger_
my camera roll from the past week looks a little insane :’) flowers, cakes, meals and gifts, celebrations after celebrations… I genuinely don’t think I’ve celebrated like this before. looking back at the photos, what stays with me most isn’t actually any of the things in them. it’s the people behind these thoughts & efforts. planning & making time, showing up, sitting across the table laughing with me, who made me feel so incredibly celebrated just for existing. flowers will wilt (already did 🥲), food’s been already eaten HAHA. cakes too LOL, and eventually these photos will be buried somewhere in the camera roll. but I think the older I get, the more I realise that time we get with people we love is one of life’s greatest gifts. very very grateful for 28, my life’s biggest gifts has always been the people in it ❤️ precious family time ❤️ random gathering with the best random find which turned out to be a gem! cake :3 let’s take a moment to appreciate these blooms more from dinner with fam :) “I saw you had Korean and Chinese food so I picked Japanese food!” “You like this right! I’m ordering this” “From Paris” Hehe beloved sis and bro 🥹 handwritten cards always thankful for this bunch most shockingly touching gift in 28 years came from Jin something I’ll use all my life and thankful for “I combined 2 things you like to get this practical gift for you” “I walked by, saw that you might like these. You might get Molly but I got lucky hands” “We actually thought of getting you this cake” ❤️ by @cherzburger_
prolly the craziest reno update so far LOL car break down- ok things happen wrong meeting location - ok maybe miscomm someone not knowing what’s gg on - ok maybe internal communications not good which is why throughout I kept trying to clarify/ find solutions/ figure out what was happening hahaha. but ya there comes a point where it’s not even about one particular incident anymore. The whole cumulative experience just made me super uncomfortable and I didn’t feel good proceeding with them over smth so permanent like my flooring. also! I’ve intentionally removed all identifying details so don’t go and CSI them hor. unfortunately I still like the seamless microcement look so I’m not giving up on it. But still very open to other options!!! microcement/ seamless flooring/ microcement look vinyl(?)/ honestly anything interesting for my #dreamhouse I’ve you’ve renovated recently and you love your flooring PLS LMK WHAT U USED!!!! esp if it’s unique bc I really don’t want typical wood vinyl BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARDDDDD #renoupdates #sgrenovation by @cherzburger_
