POSTS STORIES REELS
Last Friday, we had the honor of hosting three wonderful people and their community project Coppi from Berlin here in Munich @hotstuff.muc ❤️‍🔥 I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for the absolutely amazing evening. Such a successful Vinyl Only Night with so many great and diverse shades of music! Now for a quick recap: I played the opening set at the club @goldener.reiter and am really very happy with how it turned out. That’s why I’d like to share the recording with you today. I mixed a few old-school deep house, tech house, and dub techno records and tried to create a smooth transition into the night. Had soo much fun! Check it out-link in bio! by @chetrubbs_

FR, 28.08. // Doors 23:00 LEGAL x @ro0m.service Friday we’re welcoming the Ro0m Service Crew back to LEGAL - they are bringing fresh energy, new faces and a different perspective into Munich’s scene. Exactly the kind of exchange we love: new connections, new sounds and a bit of fresh air in the room. Joining them is Amsterdam-based Vinz Sosa, co-founder of Syntax Error, with his refined and tightly curated take on underground dance music, while Ro0m Service founder Kongusto brings warm, groove-driven house rooted in deep, tech and dub influences. Sofiia Zoloto moves between tech house, electro, minimal techno, acid and breaks with a strong instinct for tension and flow, and Chet Rubbs, founder of Hotstuff, digs deep into timeless house and techno, from Detroit and tribal sounds to dub techno and old-school tech house - vinyl only. Melchiorr, founder of Dys Records, adds a hypnotic and driving edge with subtle psy influences, while buuo b2b jaana keep things warm and analogue, moving freely through Chicago, dub, tech house and deep cuts. Hanno, host of Hallo Hanno! on Radio 80000, brings his own blend of danceable house, downtempo and electronica, and Salzburg’s Paxx rounds things off with rolling grooves, deep basslines, organic percussion and a subtle psychedelic touch. by @chetrubbs_

Surge Curated Nr. 15 with Chet Rubbs For the last podcast of this year, we’re pleased to share the 15th edition of Surge Curated with an immersive vinyl mix by @chetrubbs_ Chet Rubbs is a Munich based DJ, promoter and record collector. Well known for his vinyl only sets, and as the founder & head of the renowned “Hotstuff” @hotstuff.muc party series at the club @goldener.reiter where he also holds a residency. The Hotstuff project aims to create a true haven for underground house & techno music and a community space that brings together passionate dancers and music lovers for nights of raw, timeless club sounds. With a deep connection and love for the club music of past decades, he draws inspiration from classic 90s House & Techno, the percussive energy of Tribal Sounds, the mystic depths of Dub Techno & the raw drive of old school Tech House. His performances are characterised by a commitment to maintaining a high energy level on the dancefloor and a sophisticated blending of rare 90s and early 00s house & techno sounds with carefully selected new productions, ensuring his sets remain fresh and unpredictable. Chet Rubbs delivers a sound designed for intimate and steamy dancefloors – always with a love for detail and flow. In this mix, he combines mystical & dubby house and techno records mainly released between 2000 and 2005, alongside a few newer releases. To top it all off, he added two of his favorite Dub Techno tracks. This mix is one of his stories about the interface between house and techno – mixed entirely on vinyl.
