POSTS STORIES REELS

Yes, that's true ☺️💯

I figured I could explore a storyteller medium that can connect to a different set of story lovers.

FYI, I love Japanese history and culture, so why not start with something I'm familiar with. Read this one. Link in bio 🔗

This one hits close to home. I may or may have not shed a tear or two when I was writing this. You should read it. Link in bio 🔗

Kikoo, the Dreamer

He was a promising young man, and he had dreams. Some were big enough to say out loud. Some he only whispered to himself, late at night, when the world was quiet and anything still felt possible.

Now he’s gone, and those dreams went with him. The plans, the “one days”, the things he was still working towards. They never got to become real. It’s one of the hardest things to sit with: how many dreams are buried with the people we lose.

But I don’t think his story ends there. I think it asks something of those of us still here. We still have time. We still have breath. We still have the dream we keep putting off, the one we keep calling “someday”.

So this one’s for Kikoo, and for everyone still dreaming. Don’t let yours go quietly. Chase it while you can.

His story is here. Learn what happened to him.

Today, Kikoo's story is finally out.

A few weeks ago, a man came to find me. He was carrying something heavy, and he didn't know where to put it. He said one thing, quietly: "I don't want him forgotten." So I listened. And now I'm telling it.

This is a true story. I've changed the names and the places to protect the people in it, but I haven't changed what he told me. Even now, he isn't sure he knows the whole of it.

What Happened To Kikoo?
My new story, tomorrow

❤️ by @chiazorecho

Some stories start at the end. This one starts with a cap in the air, and a question nobody can shake.

He had a speech written for the day he’d finally get to say thank you. He got to wear the gown. He threw the cap in the air. He told his best friend, “We made it.”

A few days later, everything stopped. His best friend is the only one who can tell us...

He was here the whole time. Fourteen days ago we posted a missing person notice and told you a man had vanished. What we did not tell you, what we are telling you now, is that Baba Segi was never lost. He was watching.

My new story is out now!

'The Night He Cried' is the newest story from me. It's about a man who spent so long trying to be hard enough, disciplined enough, "enough," that he almost missed the one thing that actually mattered. I wanted to write something honest about what it looks like when a man who was taught that emotion is weakness finally breaks, and still can't let anyone see it happen.

When she came, I felt it. She filled the room with her presence, she didn't need to anounce herself. She spoke to my heart and said, 'I'm the love of God' and in that moment I knew what true love was, not the fairy tale kind but the bloody kind. And because I'm loved she taught me to show love.

I present to you 'Love' the first painting from my new series, The Spirit Within
