I built my second ever custom fingerboard using the @create.your.skate kit, and I finished it today! This board is for my younger brother, featuring a graphic I designed of his cat. The whole process definitely heightened my appreciation for fingerboard craftsmanship…😮‍💨 and it was fun. 💯

I went to go check out the north Seattle DIY fingerboard park yesterday. Fun spot! (you can find it in the alley by the Fremont branch of the Seattle Public Library)

I had a great time at the @ikigai.fb.co @fuktfingerz fingerboard event at @raincityskateshop’s grand opening celebration on Sunday! I made it down to Olympia from Seattle for the day to support this new rad small business because, of course, #FingerboardingIsFun 💯

Having gotten the hang of only one trick (so far!) didn’t stop me from trying out all the cool parks they had set up…So here’s a compilation I’m calling “An Ode to the Shuvit” 😅 🛹❤️‍🔥

according to my (entry-level) skate trick research…could it be…a 740 Treflip? 😳 I don’t think I’ll be landing magic like that again for quite a while lol.

clocking in at the Ollie factory! 🫡 Shoutout to @hunkfb for the helpful tutorial! 💯 Let me know (honestly, pls!) how long it took you to learn how to Ollie on a fingerboard?

what should I work on next?

…will I ever get comfy doing other tricks? you bet! but for now, it’s Speedy Shuvit city center, day and night over here lol. ☀️ 🛹 🌗

🚨 UPDATE (a day later) folks who know their stuff: was this actually a 360 Pop Shuvit? Or was it a 540?? 😳 Please chime in… (counting is hard ok 😅)

Day 15 of teaching myself how to fingerboard. I was waiting to pick up a quesadilla and got a couple quick clips. 🔥🌮 (dang, no quesadilla emoji I guess ☹️)

…and on my 13th day of fingerboarding, the gods of flat-ground tricks finally granted me something other than a basic 180 Shuvit…🙏🏻 😅 …and I happened to have the camera rolling! This board is a 34mm “0” shape complete by @dkfb74 all the way from Ukraine 🇺🇦 to here in Seattle. 💯

Thanks to @fwicken_fb for hosting this awesome fingerboard park pop-up I stopped by at the Seattle Waterfront Marketplace today! It was a great place to practice my Shuvits 💯 And shoutout to @henry_beyond_museums for the cool fingerboards! 🛹 👏🏻👏🏻

Wilson and his antics admittedly make for pretty good amusement while I’m still learning how to do more than just Shuvits 😅 What can I say? The guy really can drop in! 😂 And shoutout to @fb.christopher and his fingerboarding podcast The Big Spin, which I’ve got on the tv in the background lol. It’s a great resource for sinking my teeth into all this good stuff!
