⭐️Chief of Police, Santa Clara, CA 🪖US Army Veteran
POSTS STORIES REELS
When you have a Chief of Police who is elected by the people, listening to the people matters. At SCPD, we believe community input makes us stronger. That’s why we have the Chief’s Advisory Committee (CAC), made up of 15 members of the Santa Clara community who come together to share their perspectives, ask questions, and provide input on policies and issues that affect our community and the relationship between residents and their police department. Our Chief isn’t looking for a room full of “yes” people. He wants different perspectives, honest feedback, and ideas that challenge us to think differently. He believes good leadership means keeping an open mind, listening, and being willing to learn. Please join us in welcoming our newest CAC members! We look forward to the conversations ahead and all the ways we can continue working together to serve Santa Clara. by @chiefcorymorgan
The Mission, October edition, is here, check out what’s happening within SCPD and our community. Link to past/future digital versions in bio. by @chiefcorymorgan
New badges, new beginnings, and 11 new members of the SCPD team. Today, we welcomed three lateral officers, four lateral public safety dispatchers, three dispatchers in training, and one Office Specialist III to SCPD during our badge ceremony. Among our newest hires are two with ties to Santa Clara, one who lives here and another who was born here. Chief Morgan reminded our new team members of the responsibility that comes with the badge: “The work ahead will be demanding and we set a high standard because that’s what this community deserves, we chose you because we believe you have what it takes.” Santa Clara, please join us in welcoming them to our community. And if you’re thinking about a career with SCPD, we’re still hiring. Visit iamscpd.org. by @chiefcorymorgan
Spooktaclara kicks off at 12 p.m. (flyer in comments) and we are ready to have some fun with our community! Along with the Halloween edition we showed you yesterday, we have cards featuring Chief Morgan, our K9s, members across the department, and even a mystery pack. Our Community Services Unit created these cards as a fun icebreaker to help kids connect with our officers and build lasting relationships with the team. Bring your kids by our booth from 12p.m.-4p.m. to grab their cards and start their collection! SpooktaClara: 12pm-4pm, Central Park, 909 Kiely Blvd by @chiefcorymorgan
Hot off the press and just in time for Spooktaculara tomorrow! Our Community Services Unit (CSU) is excited to unveil the very first look at our new Santa Clara Police Department trading card series, starting with a special Halloween edition! Whether it’s through daily work in local schools with our BRAVE or Safety Patrol programs or at community gatherings, one of CSU’s top priorities is fostering genuine trust and strong connections with Santa Clara’s youth. These cards were created as a fun bridge to encourage open, friendly interactions between our SCPD team and young residents. Bring your kids by our booth at Spooktaculara tomorrow so they can be among the first to grab the Halloween card! We’ll also have other cards from the series on hand to help kickstart their collection. Make sure they hang onto their cards and stay tuned throughout the year, we’ll be releasing new, limited edition variations across future community events and at our schools. See you tomorrow! “We hope you enjoy these trading cards as much as we enjoyed creating them for you. The stories and characters may be imaginative, but our commitment to protecting and serving you is real, unwavering, and comes from the heart every single day. Thank you for being part of what makes Santa Clara such a strong, safe, and vibrant community.”—Chief Morgan #halloween #communitypolicing #santaclara #youth by @chiefcorymorgan
The Santa Clara Police Department Color Guard was honored to present the flags at the 40th Anniversary Sister City Dinner celebrating our relationship with Izumo, Japan. This international partnership officially began in 1986, building four decades of cultural exchange, student programs, and strong community ties. We are proud to support this milestone and look forward to the next chapter of our shared history. by @chiefcorymorgan

That’s a wrap on Coffee with a Cop! Thank you to everyone who came out, grabbed a coffee, asked questions, shared a story, or just stopped by to say hi. We always enjoy getting the chance to connect with the people who make this community so great. And a huge thank you to our friends at Starbucks for being such great hosts and welcoming us in! Coffee with a Cop may be over, but connecting with us doesn’t have to be. We’re part of this community too and you never need to wait for an event to say hi, ask a question, or start a conversation. We’re always here. Coffee or no coffee. by @chiefcorymorgan
Parade of Champions 2026 is in the books! What started in 1945 as a way to welcome home our World War II veterans has grown into one of Santa Clara’s favorite traditions, bringing our community together year after year. It was an honor to lead the way and celebrate this incredible city. We’re proud to serve this community and even prouder to be part of it. A huge thank you to the Santa Clara Parade of Champions Board, planning committee and all the volunteers, including local students, who put in countless hours to make this event happen. by @chiefcorymorgan
The Parade of Champions is underway! Hope everyone has an amazing time! If you see us out here, don’t be shy, come say hi, take some pictures, and tag us! We love seeing everyone out and about and are so proud to be part of this community. Let’s have some fun! by @chiefcorymorgan
Hot off the press! The September edition of The Mission has dropped. Take a look at what’s happening at SCPD and throughout our Santa Clara community, from department updates and community involvement to safety tips, recent cases, and upcoming events. And while you’re reading, don’t forget to mark your calendar for Coffee with a Cop on October 7. Come by and hang out with us. The Mission digital versions can be found at SCPD.org. by @chiefcorymorgan
This morning, we gathered to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We remember the victims whose lives were taken, the survivors who still carry forward, the courageous first responders who ran toward danger, and the 911 dispatchers who answered the calls for help. We honor the men and women who answered the call to serve, the families who carry unimaginable loss, and the countless Americans who stood together in the face of tragedy. In the days that followed 9/11, our nation was reminded of the strength found in unity, when strangers became neighbors, communities became one, and Americans stood shoulder to shoulder, united by courage, compassion, and an unwavering love for our country. Twenty five years later, the courage shown that day still inspires us to serve with purpose, protect with courage, and never forget. #neverforget #september11 #patriotday by @chiefcorymorgan
