He didn’t have the perfect start… he fell down.

While everyone else kept moving, he had a choice…stay down or get back up.

He got up. He didn’t spend time looking at who passed him. He didn’t quit because the start didn’t go as planned. He kept going and somehow crossed the finish line in 1st place.

Looking back now, I realize this wasn’t just about an obstacle course it was a look at the man he was becoming.

Life won’t always start the way we expect. We will all have moments where we fall. What matters most is having the courage to get back up and keep going. by @chozenchance3.31

You are so helpful, so sweet, so mild-mannered, and such a joy! Being your mommy is a blessing, and I’m so grateful God chose me to be yours. I’m extremely proud of my son! ❤️🇺🇸 He successfully completed OCS for the Marine Corps! 🎖️ He was even in the top 25% of his graduating class! But what makes me even more proud is that through it all, he kept God first. 🙏🏾 Watching his faith and walk with God grow has been such a blessing. Son, keep God first and continue walking in His purpose. Mom is so proud of you! ❤️🙌🏾 To God be ALL the glory! #proudmom #ocs #Godfirst #marinecorps #semperfi by @chozenchance3.31

Life has not been the same since you left a full year ago. You were my best friend,we talked like 50 times a day, lol, and I still catch myself wanting to call you. I try not to think too hard about you being gone, so I stay busy, but the truth is I just don’t want to face the pain of you not being here. I don’t talk much about how I’m feeling because I never want to bother anyone… but today, my heart feels it deeply. #notfair by @chozenchance3.31
