It’s a privilege and an honor to make magic with all of you. Homecoming 2026 ✅ by @chripeders

Oh triumph, I’m such a fool for you, you’ve got me wrapped around your finger
Thank you for standing still with me and being my why.
I love you - all my babies especially. It is the greatest honor of my life to help carry your burdens.
I’m sorry for forgetting what it feels like to stand with you underneath this perfect sky when the daily grind of the school year gets to me.
I can’t wait to see all of the good you do, especially for yourselves.

Oh do you have time to linger for just a little while out of your busy and very important day for the goldfinches that have gathered in a field of thistles for a musical battle, to see who can sing the highest note, or the lowest, or the most expressive of mirth, or the most tender? Their strong, blunt beaks drink the air as they strive melodiously not for your sake and not for mine and not for the sake of winning but for sheer delight and gratitude— believe us, they say, it is a serious thing just to be alive on this fresh morning in the broken world. I beg of you, do not walk by without pausing to attend to this rather ridiculous performance.

It could mean something. It could mean everything. It could be what Rilke meant, when he wrote: You must change your life.

🌲being where my feet are is a beautiful feeling, made better only when you walk with me too. Love you mount triumph family, forever. by @chripeders

$I managed to get photos with a small fraction of the students I taught my first year teaching - you will always always have a piece of my heart. ✨May you build a ladder to the stars and climb on every rung ❤️ by @chripeders$

My cute family explored the beach and I found a vertebrae and got to think about moss a lot and good golly what a lovely way to end spring break (btw one of the best parts of life with Tyler is he looks at maps and says “what’s that green spot?” And then we go find out and usually it’s perfect beyond reason) by @chripeders

Adventure day to La Conner and while eating ice cream by the water a man brought out a speaker playing the beach boys and danced with his wife and everyone clapped, especially me by @chripeders

The most perfect slice of heaven by @chripeders

Me: take this instagrammy photo of me,
Lemon: I’m on my way
🍄‍🟫lil Mycena cutie pies! Also I’m still debating if that moss is rhytidiadelphus squarrosus or r. subpinnatus (but subpinnatus looks more neck-y so I’m leaning toward squarrosus!) by @chripeders

Every year I hear the high schoolers talking about how much they loved the homecoming parade when they were little, and even though it is far and away the most stressful event I have to plan, the joy of watching my students help make core memories for others makes it 100% worth it. Today was extra special, because I got to see Clark and Calvin make these joyful memories! My students have worked so hard to make homecoming meaningful and memorable, and every single one of our royalty winners is so unbelievably wonderful, I hope I grow up to be like them someday.
Plus any day I get to see @jenn.corvin is a good one by @chripeders

Lake Wenatchee camping trip 🥰 Clark’s favorite part was “swimming, playing with Eevee toy, and getting cozy in the tent,” Calvin’s favorite part was getting to walk to our campsite on his own from the beach, Tyler’s favorite part was his happy boys, watching Lemon swim because she makes splashes and then chases them, and hanging out with me before the boys woke up. My favorite part was this completely random BATH TUBS washable marker tattoo that Calvin gave me with no explanation (because just when I’m having feelings about Calvin’s development, he makes some kind of wild joke and I realize he has a family that loves him and he has a sense of humor, the rest is just details) by @chripeders
