Next up for our introductions, percussionist Chris Harris!

Chris Harris is a percussionist and composer based in Bowling Green. He holds a Bachelor’s in Music Performance and Education, as well as a Master’s in Music, both from California State University, Sacramento. Chris is currently completing his Doctorate in Contemporary Music at Bowling Green State University, with an anticipated graduation date of spring 2028.

On contemporary music, Chris says: “Growing up as a percussionist, I have always been enveloped in contemporary music. The gateway was my time in drum corps which then led to my interest in complex music, which contemporary music can be known for at times.”

Chris has also played baseball for 12 years of his life (“Go Phillies!”).
