My mum's dead. But at least I'm getting some material out of it. ⚰️ A little bit from DEAD PARENT SOCIETY, my stand up show about death, family and finding the funny in things we probably shouldn't. Filmed in the showcase at Madrid Comedy Lab. by @chrisgrovescomedy
I’ve spent years performing comedy, running a comedy club and helping other comedians develop. But I realised there’s one comedy career I’ve never really pushed properly: my own. So I’m giving myself 365 days to see what happens if I actually do. No more excuses! More gigs. More travelling. English and Spanish. Asking for opportunities instead of waiting for them. Taking the show to new places. No idea where this ends up. That’s kind of the point. Still can't bring myself to use the word "JOURNEY" but hey...Day 1. Let’s see what happens. DEAD PARENT SOCIETY! My mum died. My dad died. So naturally, I wrote a comedy show about it. “A dark hour of well written and ultimately joyful and funny material.” “Thought-provoking fun. 5.5 stars” After its Edinburgh Fringe run, Chris Groves brings his darkly funny stand-up show about death, family and finding the funny in life's darkest moments to the Barcelona Fringe. 📅 Friday 6 November, 20h 📌Secret Comedy Club 🎟️ Book your tickets now! by @chrisgrovescomedy

Being a comedian isn't just about getting on stage. There's a lot of work behind the scenes that nobody ever talks about. Some of it takes more courage than you'd imagine. #StandUpComedy #ComedianLife #BehindTheScenes #BarcelonaComedy by @chrisgrovescomedy
