POSTS STORIES REELS

This weekend marks the 30th anniversary of my guitar workshop here in Weimar.

I am very grateful to all the people who inspired me along the way - musicians, colleagues, business partners, friends and family.

And I look forward to many more years filled with new experiences, more guitars and new encounters.

If you would like to know more about me and my guitars feel free to contact me.

This photo was taken by chance during a photo shoot with the renowned photographer Guido Werner @guidowernerphotography

More on that soon.

The next time my workshop gets too small, I'll do what this Dutch piano maker did and set up my workbench on the street. by @christophsembdner

Creating, designing, shaping.

Staying focused.
Not getting distracted.
The daily challenge.

This year was the first one that I worked as a city guide in addition to building guitars.
I had the pleasure of showing the city to many interested and interesting guests from Germany and abroad.
The tour usually ends here on Theater Square, in front of the Goethe-Schiller monument, which is currently surrounded by an ice rink.
Goethe would have been delighted, as he was an enthusiastic ice skater himself.

The monument is cast in bronze, made from melted Ottoman cannon barrels from the Battle of Navarino, Greece.

Weapons - transformed into art.
More of this for a Happy New Year!

I have been living in this beautiful, special, small but in many ways significant city of Weimar for 30 years.
My main profession as a musical instrument maker brought me here, and over the years I have become increasingly familiar with the history and the spirit of the place.
After completing training as a certified city guide last year, I am now able to accompany guests through the city, which I do with great pleasure.
I offer tours in German and English.
