Whew! January 2025 is already bygone and there have been lots of lows and some highs too but it’s time to strap in for the remainder of the winter ride. Sharing a few highlights from the month in review while we get back to regular programming over here at HQ. We’ve been ramping up @techwalk.co and even workin’ it back at @bikettle spin studio a few times. January was great for live music with @omar_lyefook at @citywinerychi and @parknrideband at @untitledchicago by @divineunionpodcast

#WeekInReview Covering two weeks this time.

The week started off on a difficult note - my friend/extended family @elizabeth.diaz.31586 unexpectedly passed away and we celebrated her life with a beautiful homegoing service 🙏🏾. That is never easy, so I kept it low key and took the chance to unwind and catch up with @rebeccataigar, my @fionathecorgi_fans welcoming brigade and delicious brunch. The week then kicked off with Chicago Urban Art Retreat Center #boardmeetings and a reception for grant recipients at the @chicagodcase Arts Recovery Program Reception where I met up with some cool folks from @black_alphabet , @thug.hippie , and the @letusbreathe773 Collective and discussed how to use #art to fuel #socialjustice and #healing. Shoutout to my jumpstarters for the week: Michelle Grace and @scorechicago for your time and attention on advising SBOs and Henry Wishcamper and @bustlingspacesllc for keeping us #nonprofits abridged on how to kick off a #capitalproject.

@healthtechnerds kicked off Tuesday with #coffee at the @merchandise_mart and another great opportunity for me to talk about the joy of @techwalk.co I also got to fill my cup with Laura.

I’m excited to be presenting a #webinar in January 2025 for @SCOREChicago and I got the chance to catch up with Velvetta Young and work through topics and logistics, so stay tuned for that!

#TechWalkChicago has already made great connections - thank you to @one_less_neuron, for demoing #CloudPotential #data tools - this is a great tool for #dataanalysis and #datavisualization without knowing how to code.

I’m grateful for @lunchclubai where I was able to catch up with folks this week and talk #valuebasedcare and #clinicalinformatics - thank you for your time!

And finally I closed out the week with big energy at @chicago_cm and catch a working lunch with @kandicekiddo. Lastly, I got a chance to brush up on my #wineeducation at @dineautremondecafe in Berwyn! by @divineunionpodcast

#weekinreview - My week was mostly filled with #food #family and well cats and dogs and not so many hashtags, but I did get a chance to catch up with one of my favorite people @brittaeumann for a coffee that was a YEAR overdue!
On Sunday, we kicked off #techwalkchicago in subzero weather, but the vibes were definitely great. After a few days of downtime, I’m ready to jump into December (!) with gusto and finish the year on a high note.
