Your art is more than what people see. It's what they feel. ❤️ People may forget the colors, the techniques, or even the details of a painting. But they'll remember how your artwork made them feel. That's the real power of being an artist. You create something that connects with people long after they've walked away. So don't just focus on making beautiful art. Create something that means something to you. Because your emotions, your story, and your perspective are what make your art unforgettable. 🎨 Save this reminder for the days you question the value of your creativity. And share it with an artist who needs to hear this today. #ArtistCommunity #ArtisticExpression #ArtistMotivation #ContemporaryArt #ArtistsOfInstagram by @chunky_.art

After 60 hours of painting, you only get one chance at the reveal.

From the back it's just a stretched canvas and wooden bars. Turn it around and there she is: the Catwoman, lips, latex shine and all, wrapped in silver leaf that catches every bit of light in the room.

Sixty hours of sketching, painting and pressing metal leaf by hand, for about three seconds of turning it around.

Worth it?

Art is the most intense mode of individualism. 🎨 Think about it. Two artists can stand in front of the same canvas, see the same colors, and still create two completely different worlds. Because art isn't just about what we see. It's about who we are. Every brushstroke carries something personal. Our memories, our beliefs, our fears, our dreams, and the little things that make us different from everyone else. That's why originality matters so much. The world doesn't need another artist trying to look like everyone else. It needs artists who are brave enough to create something that feels like them. And maybe that's the most beautiful thing about being an artist. Nobody else can see the world exactly the way you do. ❤️ Artists, have you ever felt pressured to change your style just to fit in? Let's talk about it in the comments. 👇 #ArtisticIdentity #ArtistCommunity #CreativeFreedom #ArtPhilosophy #ContemporaryArtists by @chunky_.art

I'm an artist. My brain is a group chat. 😂 And somehow, everyone in that group chat has a different idea. One wants to start a new project. Another wants to finish something from six months ago. Someone is questioning every creative decision you've ever made. And there's always one voice saying, "Wait, what if we tried something completely different?" The funniest part? They're all you. Being an artist means finding inspiration in the most random places, having brilliant ideas at the worst possible times, and constantly negotiating with your own imagination. Painters, musicians, writers, photographers, filmmakers, dancers, designers... you probably know exactly what this feels like. Sometimes you wish your creative mind had a mute button. But then again, life would be pretty boring without all those ideas. Artists, be honest. If your brain were a group chat, what would the loudest person be saying right now? 😂 Send this to an artist whose brain is just as chaotic as yours. #ArtistLife #ArtistHumor #CreativeMind #ArtistCommunity #BestArtGallery by @chunky_.art

The artist is the art. 🎨❤️ Before someone falls in love with a painting, there's an artist behind it. A person with memories, emotions, experiences, and a way of seeing the world that nobody else has. Your artistic style isn't just about the colors you choose or the techniques you've mastered. It's in the stories you tell, the subjects you're drawn to, the mistakes that become part of your process, and the feelings you can't always put into words. And in a world where artists are constantly encouraged to follow trends, grow on Instagram, and create what gets attention, it's easy to forget something important. Your individuality is your greatest creative strength. Whether you're a painter, sculptor, illustrator, digital artist, or someone still discovering your artistic voice, your personal journey is what makes your work different. Don't lose that trying to become someone else's idea of a successful artist. Because people don't just connect with beautiful artwork. They connect with the human being behind it. ✨ Artists, here's something we'd love to know: Do you think your artwork reflects who you really are, or does it reveal a side of you that people rarely see? Share your thoughts below. We'd love to hear your perspective. ❤️ #ArtistCommunity #ArtisticIdentity #CreativeProcess #EmergingArtists #ContemporaryArt by @chunky_.art

Somewhere right now, an artist is finishing something extraordinary — and almost nobody will see it.

Not because the work isn't good enough. Because making art and getting it seen have become two completely different jobs. Create, film, edit, post, promote… and somehow keep up with an algorithm that never slows down.

But behind every painting is something no algorithm can measure: a memory, a question, a feeling, a part of someone's life.

That's the idea behind Best Art Gallery — a place where we discover artists, share the stories behind their work, and help that work find people who genuinely connect with it.

If you're a painter, illustrator or independent artist, we'd love to discover your story.

Art makes us human. ❤️ Not because we know how to paint, sculpt, draw, or create something beautiful. But because we feel things that we don't always know how to explain. We carry memories we wish we could revisit. Emotions we struggle to understand. Questions that never seem to have answers. And somehow, art gives all of those things somewhere to go. A painting can hold a grief we never spoke about. A sculpture can carry years of healing. A simple sketch can preserve a moment that would otherwise have disappeared forever. That's what makes creating so deeply personal. Artists don't just make things for people to look at. Sometimes, they create because it's the only way they know how to make sense of being alive. And the beautiful thing is, someone on the other side of the world might look at that artwork and recognize a feeling they thought belonged only to them. Two strangers. Different lives. One shared emotion. Maybe that's why art matters so much. It reminds us that beneath all our differences, we're still human. And none of us are quite as alone in what we feel as we sometimes think. To every artist who has ever poured something personal into their work, thank you for making the world a little more human. 🎨 Artists, has creating ever helped you express something you couldn't put into words? #ArtAndHumanity #ArtistCommunity #ArtisticExpression #CreativeProcess #ArtAndEmotion by @chunky_.art

The most creative art is YOU. ❤️🎨 Before you ever picked up a paintbrush, opened a sketchbook, or created your first piece of art, you were already something extraordinary. A collection of memories, emotions, experiences, imperfections, and dreams that no one else in this world could ever recreate. And maybe that's something we don't remind artists of often enough. We spend so much time admiring beautiful paintings, perfect compositions, incredible techniques, and finished masterpieces that we sometimes forget about the most important part of the creative process. The human being behind it all. You. The person who notices little things others walk past. Who carries ideas around for days. Who finds inspiration in unexpected places and turns ordinary experiences into something meaningful. Your artistic journey isn't just about becoming a better painter, illustrator, sculptor, or designer. It's also about discovering who you are. Every mistake teaches you something. Every unfinished artwork holds a little piece of your growth. Every creative experiment reveals another side of your imagination. And even on the days when you don't create anything, you're still an artist. Your creativity doesn't disappear when you put down your tools. Because being an artist is more than what you make. It's how you think, how you feel, how you experience life, and how you choose to express it. So please, while you're busy creating beautiful things for the world, don't forget to appreciate the beautiful, complicated, wonderfully original person creating them. You are not just the artist behind the artwork. You are a work of art, too. ✨ Send this to an artist who needs to remember how special they are today. ❤️ And artists, tell us something in the comments: What's one thing you've discovered about yourself through making art? #ArtistCommunity #CreativeJourney #ArtistLife #ArtisticExpression #ArtistsOfInstagram by @chunky_.art

Let's start over, properly this time.

The sketch comes first: pencil lines on a blank white panel, then black paint filling in a mask, one stroke at a time. Some pieces end in gold leaf pressed on by hand, some in silver, some in a Ferrari-red helmet. Most take more than one session and more than one outfit.

Painter, portraitist, gold leaf lover. And yes, she has exhibited her work too, wall after wall of faces under a tent.

If you're new here, which piece should get the full story next: the Catwoman, the Ferrari, or the blindfolded portrait in gold?

One post a month is one shot at being seen. 🎯

That's the real reason consistency matters for artists on Instagram. Posting more often doesn't guarantee reach or followers, but every post is another chance for the right person to discover your work, remember your name, or come back to see what you're making next.

The goal isn't posting every day at any cost. It's finding a rhythm you can actually keep, and making each post worth someone's attention. A steady weekly habit with work you care about will usually do more for you than a rushed daily one you burn out on.

Consistency creates opportunities. Quality decides what you do with them.

Lemons on one sheet. A single grass stem on another. And somewhere nearby, a whole sea in turquoise and white.

Helen Bradbury @helenbradburyart moves between two very different ways of painting: careful watercolour studies of fruit and plants, and loose, layered abstract landscapes where colour does most of the talking.

Her studio wall is covered in small studies pinned side by side, so you can see how many ideas are running at once, from quiet botanical details to bold coastal blues.

Which side of her work pulls you in more, the lemons or the sea?

You've probably scrolled past the colours. This is who's holding the brush.

Ewa Stolarz @venssa.art works at the easel in her home studio, building paint up in thick, raised layers until the surface has real texture: ridges, edges and gloss that change as the light moves across them.

She doesn't stop at one canvas. Her studio is lined with stacks of finished work, grouped into whole series of arches, chevrons and vertical stripes, each one exploring the same idea from a new angle.

Which series would you hang on your wall?
