The Question:

Is home a place —or the people who make it feel like one?

Some tales are about what's lost. Others are about what survives. A tale of love, community, & the choice to build something better from what came before.

After all, home has always been where the heart is.

#Winter the coldest & darkest season of the year finally comes to an end with longer days & shorter nights approaching. This marks a point of alignment; when both days & nights are of equal length in the Northern & Southern Hemispheres. As the next season progresses & the temperature in the atmosphere softly rises, in all circumstances, we must remember to remain 'KooL'......

Currently, outside on the streets, it's grey, wet, & calm with a slight fresh breeze.

Q: The lady above ----Why did she choose to go somewhere different on this particular night? Coincidence or Influence? And where did she end up afterwards?

Help me #Createthascene with a little swing or should I say 'Spring' in the air. 🎬

This was the 90's, & this was my ((first love)). A few years earlier, I remember having to rap the entire lyrics infront of Class 3, Mrs salt's class. The other children had said I was 'rapping' in the infant playground & so she demanded to hear it. She was the classy type, a little strict but not as strict as the teacher next door. I was advanced for my age & so she would often ask me to read to the class, which was no biggie but when it came to doing my thing, I was hella nervous, especially to say the very last line. I ended up rappin' on autopilot, focusing on the end & how I could erase it before I got there, lol. Nonetheless, she replied, 'Interesting'.😁 —I sometimes wonder what everybody back then is up to now.

This is Mummy. I wanted to grow up & be just like her. Music collection, strictly hip-hop & rnb plus everything rap. If she wasn't busy on the sewing machine creating these fly outfits, she was always around music, on stage, & most definitely the true life of a party. —She loved to dance, that was her thing.

This is Poppa. My numero uno inspiration when it comes to the sound of music. Music collection ranged from mainly jazz to sweet soul, along with those favourite rnb collectables. He was the shy type. He was away from us when touring, gigging etc but always came through with the best surprises.

#Mood | Mosley St, MCR 1959.☔👠
Q: If you had a time machine in this moment, where would yoU journey to.💭

(𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥)
2026, 2018, or 1959... 🕰️💤 somehow, I’ve wandered back here in time. And while I’ve yet to find the author of this rainy Mosley Street scene — two women, the heart of the frame, heels tappin' drawn up outside of a linen shop...

Umbrellas dotted across the street blooming like dark petals, their movements drifting w/purpose, like black sails, ushered by the wind. I can’t help but feel drawn.

Peep the view. Unbothered, elegant, defying the drizzle, owning the street like it’s their private runway. 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥. Every puddle a mirror, every shadow a silent witness. The sound of heels’ percussion interlacing w/the city’s soft patter, an authentic soundtrack only the streets themselves could provide.

Here is a city in motion, but these two? They rest like they invented it, each step a signature, & each glance a part of their story. And the linen shop? It doesn’t just sell fabric, it observes, it remembers, it holds space for moments like these. Ordinary yet extraordinary, ephemeral yet immortal.

It stirs memories of being whisked through endless aisles of similar shops as a child. My fingers brushing over each bolt of cloth exploring textures through boredom, unaware of the quiet lessons they spoke, lessons I only recognised in retrospect.

Today, I sit w/the quiet wonder of life's finer details: how we learn, how we receive gifts w/out realising we’re receiving. Those small moments that establish a kind of wisdom we only tend to grasp in hindsight. Let’s just say, I’ve come to trust '𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭' upon my feels now, perhaps an understanding that deepens with time...

𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳. Confident, cinematic, alive, & a little mischievous. A city felt, as much as seen. And here, my viewers, are its ladies — 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴.

Honestly, I could wander for hours, simply feeling a city breathe. Even on the simplest streets, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴. You just have to pause & listen.
🌂Listen, then feel.
