My favorite ring from the casting this Monday @baltimorejewelrycenter ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Thank you @_eearl for a perfect session. And I’m so glad that @garbagedoodle egged me on to make two of these rings in gold! The cost threshold is a tough one to cross, but no regrets.
This is just one of the things I’ll be bringing to @renegadecraft on 11/14-15 and then to @ooakchicago on 12/03-06!! I’ll be posting more of the glimmers that will come along, so stay tuned. And come say hi if you’re in those cities 🙂

Thank you @vivianmariephoto for these amazing photos of this Ametrine engagement rings! I usually am so wrapped up in a project, and then just relieved when things go well, that I forget about documentation. And there’s no substituting images that are taken by someone who knows what they’re doing. Vivian rocks!
❤️‍🔥🤩❤️‍🔥
About the project: I cut two ametrine for these rings - the 50/50 ametrine is cut in Andrew Brown’s Tic-tac and then used Arya Akhavan’s ( @surgical.precision.gems ) Blue Happiness design for the blended ametrine. The rings are cast sterling silver. A fun project! And it took months so I’m very grateful for the patience of my wonderful clients!
Will be sharing photos of more projects soon!

Cage rings done! I just love CZs - their color, their durability and willingness to play. Hoping to do a whole bevy of these for casting in a couple of weeks. Maybe also a set of earrings. Or perhaps these could get incorporated into a bracelet and a necklace. I’m always long on goals and short on time. 👹
Will share better photos of these once I can get them! Stay tuned.

Video of the Hypno Toad Ring. I love how the gold behind the stones glimmer and how the purple gem flashes that Keum boo at certain angles. This was super fun to do and I’m so happy it’s done! 😆 by @cindyhkcheng

Hypno Toad Ring is completed! The two sapphires I used are pretty clear so I thought I’d try to keum boo the seats. I was curious to see how that bright gold would interact with the stones and add a bit of extra zing to the silver. Second pic is the fused gold before setting the gems. Love the results so much!! Definitely something to play around with again in the future.
Today’s studio goal: get a few new waxes going for upcoming casts. 💆🏻‍♂️

Look at these beautiful photos @vivianmariephoto took of my citrine necklace! Nothing can beat expert skill. 💖🙏💖
This necklace was one of the most labor-intensive jewelry projects I’ve done to date. It was super fun to use a lot of the techniques I’ve learned over the past few years. The citrine was faceted in my studio, I carved and cast each link of the necklace and the pendant, soldered gold for the 3rd time ever and set the gem. The pendant is detachable so its new owner can wear it on this chunky-boy chain or on her own gold chain. So, after one very scary moment and so many hours later, it’s done!
Materials: Sterling silver, 14k yellow gold, precision cut (feels weird to say that) citrine.

Two new earrings, super fresh! My jeweled mycelium collection grows! ✨🍄🍄🍄🍄✨
We’ve got two garnets in the spears and we have a whopping 4 disco rubies in the hinged pair. The rubies are set face to face…I hope they get along bc they don’t have a ton of personal space.
Starting on a new set of waxes for, hopefully, a whole bunch of castings. Crunch time!

New work by Cindy Cheng is now available in the BJC Metal Shop! @cindyhkcheng

Cindy’s sculptural jewelry brings together carved and sculpted wax forms, granulation, and an ongoing curiosity for material and process. Each one-of-a-kind piece feels distinctly her own; playful, intricate, and somewhat unexpected.

Cindy was an Artist in Residence at the Baltimore Jewelry Center in Fall 2025. Stop by the Metal Shop - or shop online at the link in our bio - to see her newest works available for purchase. by @cindyhkcheng
