Thank you to everyone who has reached out with condolences for Bill. Your calls and notes have been touching. Bill and I worked together for 32 years, and he was an amazing mentor, salesman, and negotiator who taught me so much. His calm demeanor was perhaps his greatest virtue - in fact I never saw him get mad. He often called himself the token male on our executive committee, which consisted primarily of women serving a marketplace that has nurtured women entrepreneurs for decades. It was a role he enjoyed. Many of you knew Bill’s role and presence at Dallas Market Center but he was a Renaissance man - he loved to cook and share recipes, he wrote two books on Texas history, he dug many Civil War and Napoleonic battlefields, he enjoyed shopping the Roundtop fields in his Kawasaki mule and he was proud that his experience in the apparel industry turned him to somewhat of a clotheshorse. He was also a devoted family man. Bill made a huge impact on so many people. We lost a great one who will be dearly missed. There will be a celebration of life for Bill on Monday, January 6 at 5:30pm here at the World Trade Center. Every is invited to come together to celebrate a one-of-a-kind man. by @cindymorrisdmc
