Behind every cinema, their is a cinematographer The process always begins with pure intention and determination. 🎬✨ Long before the world ever sees a camera rolling or a project trending on a streaming platform, it starts with solitary visualization. For meticulous cinematographer Gideon “Cineboi” Chukwu @cine_boi that quiet dedication is exactly what has fueled his transition from dreaming to commanding some of Nigeria’s most visually compelling sets. Whether it is narrative features, global documentaries, or high-profile music videos, Gideon’s commitment to texture, emotion, and technical precision is undeniable. The Public Harvest of Unseen Hours: 🏆 * 📸 Amelia – Won 2026 Best Cinematography award at the Quibdó África Film Festival, earning global acclaim for his striking visual palette. * 🚢 Blood Vessel (Netflix) – Lensed moody, atmospheric lighting that earned him a well-deserved AMVCA nomination. * 🔥 Phoenix Fury – Brought visceral depth to the screen, helping the project won Best Film at AFRIFF. * 🎥 Almajiri – His brilliant visual storytelling is currently trending on Prime Video. * 🇬🇧 Mr. Bold – Shone on the global stage, shortlisting for the prestigious Yugo BAFTA Student Awards. * 🕊️ Madu & Mothers of Chibok – Handled sensitive, heavy-hitting human stories with deep respect and cinematic grace. * ⚽🦅 Ballon D’Or (Burna Boy & Wizkid) – Proved his immense versatility by capturing high-energy, iconic musical frames. Gideon’s career has become a masterclass in why trusting the process matters. The accolades he receives today are simply the harvest of seeds planted during those quiet, unseen hours of hard work. #Cineboi #GideonChukwu #Nollywood #Cinematography #DirectorOfPhotography AmeliaFilm QAFF2026 BloodVesselNetflix PhoenixFury Almajiri Madu MothersOfChibok NigerianCinema BehindTheScenes FilmmakersOfNigeria AMVCA AFRIFF by @cine_boi
PHOENIX FURY 🐉🔥 I’m genuinely grateful and privileged to have been able to photograph this film. it was a beautiful experience in many ways having access across different places, meeting beautiful people, having friendships that have lasted, and also experiencing life in ways I hadn’t before. Like every journey, it came with its lessons, and I’m grateful for all of them. Today, seeing people embrace this film, and seeing it recognised, gives me great Joy and a deep sense of gratitude. I’m greatful to have contributed to bringing this story to the screen. Special Thanks to the Cast and Crew ❤️ In cinemas nationwide, October 30.
