Hey Saskatoon 👋 What a season - what a harvest ! We have canned, pickled, and frozen the sweet tastes of summer to offer you all winter. Saskatchewan always provides and this year was no different with a full bounty from our kitchen garden , salad garden, and perfect produce from @crocushillgarden , @ourfarmyxe.ca , @kinsmengloryfarms , @dixsimpkins, @littlequailridgeorchards . I am incredibly thankful to have awesome folks around me in every capacity from my hard working team, small biz pals, and you!
We are swiftly moving into the holiday season and preparations are in full swing. I can't wait to share Christmas cookies but first I want to see your Halloween costumes. Gosh we have so much to do together yet for 2026 !

Our display cooler has entered its autumnal shift and we're feeling very smooth caramel about it. Is that an emotion? It is here.

Hang out with a salted maple brown sugar latte and enjoy our Pie Series! Apple pie pop tarts, pumpkin pie bars with pumpkin caramel, pecan pie bars, and brown butter tarts.

There's more but you've gotta swing by to check it out. See you soon 👋 by @citizencafebakery

Call us cozy but we do love that early darkness creeping back in 😬 controversial take. See you in the morning. by @citizencafebakery

I know we've all heard, "it takes a village," to thrive as a small business but think about this with me for a minute. You, our guests keep our doors open by showing up for us every single day. Our team keeps this place running like clockwork with their consistently incredible quality of work and care. Our landlord and book keeper are basically family at this point. Our web, signage, and design team make us relevant and you take notice before stepping through the doors. A multitude of vendors with their own village provide us with the materials our offerings are literally made of. Our electricians, plumbers, and technicians are with us at the drop of a hat for all emergencies so our shop functions like a well oiled machine. When you break it down the amount of energy poured into this place is astonishing. What a remarkable thing this "small" business. It truly takes a village of people to make it seem so simple when you walk in and give us your time for a good cup of coffee. Citizen Cafe & Bakery.

Don't even get me started on the amount of hands that it takes to grow, harvest, and roast those coffee beans.

Very cool. That's all. by @citizencafebakery

With a brewed coffee ? Come on. What coffee break dreams are made of.
We are loving our new signature vegan butter recipe taking this pastry over the top with flavour to match the fruity fillings like our sour cherry, classic strawberry, juicy blueberry, and all time favourite rhubarb. by @citizencafebakery
