City Collective joined Washington Freedom to celebrate the groundbreaking of Frederick Cricket Park, an exciting milestone towards bringing professional cricket to a permanent home in Maryland.

Working alongside the Washington Freedom team, City Collective are shaping the vision for a venue that goes beyond match day: creating a destination for professional and grassroots cricket, and community events.

With a proposed 10,000-person stadium, the project has the potential to grow the game and create a lasting community asset, with cricket’s return to the Olympic Games on the horizon in 2028.

We’re proud to be part of the journey as this vision takes its next step towards reality. by @city_collective

We’re proud to celebrate Uniting on Second winning the Affordable Development Award at the UDIA SA Awards for Excellence. This is the second time we’ve helped UnitingSA take out this category.

Uniting on Second has 70 apartments across affordable rentals, affordable home ownership and specialist disability accommodation. It shows that thoughtful design can deliver affordability without compromising on quality, wellbeing or sustainability.

The award also reflects a partnership that keeps going from strength to strength. Our ongoing work with UnitingSA is built on a shared commitment to housing that makes a real difference to people’s lives, and we’re proud to see it recognised again.

Thank you to UnitingSA, Kennett Builders and Taarnby for the collaboration that brought this important project to life. Here’s to what we’ll deliver together next. by @city_collective

We’re excited to welcome Horaci Sanchez to City Collective as our new Principal in Architecture.

Horaci has more than 25 years of experience across Australia, the United States and Spain.

He’s led residential, commercial, mixed-use and cultural projects that have made a real difference to communities across Australia.

His work combines design clarity, technical rigour and emotional impact. It’s driven by a belief that architecture and urban design can shape communities and the environment for the better.

With Horaci on board, we’re continuing to strengthen design leadership in our growing Melbourne team, and that will be felt across the whole practice.

Welcome, Horaci! by @city_collective

A great night at The Urban Collective Industry Night in Melbourne!

Josh Lee Ramirez, Penny Barnes and David Cooke had a great time representing City Collective and meeting so many students, emerging designers and fellow industry professionals.

A big thanks to The Urban Collective for bringing everyone together and creating such a great space to connect, chat about the industry and share what we love about working in urban design and planning.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, we hope to see many of you again soon! by @city_collective

City Collective joined UnitingSA and partner Kennett Builders to mark the sod turn for Eleanora, a significant milestone in the delivery of a new 48-dwelling community at Noarlunga Downs.

Designed by City Collective, the development will bring together a diverse mix of housing to create an inclusive, connected neighbourhood where people from different backgrounds and lifestyles can come together.

We were pleased to be joined by Amanda Rishworth MP, Nat Cook MP, City of Onkaparinga, and SA Housing Trust to celebrate this important milestone and recognise the collaboration behind bringing Eleanora to life.

This project marks another great partnership between City Collective, UnitingSA, and Kennett, and we're looking forward to many more!

Earlier this week, City Collective was excited to be part of The Urban Collective's Collective Conversations, with our very own Josh Lee Ramirez (Associate Urban Design) joining the panel to share his career journey and experiences in practice.

Bringing together planners and urban designers, the panel explored different career pathways, the perspectives that shape great places, and the challenges we tackle every day in practice.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the next generation of urban professionals and share the many possibilities a career in the built environment can offer.

We’ll be back at the University of Melbourne for The Urban Collective’s Industry Night on Wednesday 23 September. See you there!

A new home ground, a great crowd and an awesome atmosphere at Cockburn ARC Oval for Fremantle Football Club’s first official AFLW match at the venue.

While the result didn’t go the Dockers’ way, it was a fantastic day and an exciting milestone for the Club. City Collective has been proud to work collaboratively with Fremantle to help transform the oval into a temporary match-day and event venue, incorporating match-day facilities, broadcasting and spectator infrastructure to create a quality venue experience.

It’s a great example of how thoughtful venue design and temporary overlays can unlock new opportunities within existing sporting infrastructure.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Fremantle as the Cockburn ARC precinct continues to evolve. by @city_collective
