Just wrapped up an incredible experience at the @worlds_biggest_analog — the largest analogue mission ever conducted! 🚀🌍

Last October for one week, I worked in the Mission Coordination Center in Vienna (MICO-VIE), helping coordinate research and daily activities across habitats on five continents and more than 60 analogue astronauts. A real test of teamwork, fast decision-making, and creative problem-solving.

One lesson I’ll take with me: mistakes are assets. We didn’t hide them — we used them to learn, adapt, and innovate.

It was an amazing chance to challenge myself, discover my strengths, and meet inspiring people from ESA and the broader space community. Most of all, I built connections I hope will grow into future collaborations.

Huge thanks to the Austrian Space Forum (@oewf_org), the MICO-VIE team, all habitats, analogue astronauts, and mission control crews.

Stepping outside my medical background… but I’m definitely not just a doctor. 😉

Honoured to receive from @unitrieste "Premio Visintin" for the best master's thesis on a subject regarding the health and safety at work:
"Spaceflight and microgravity-induced physiological changes: the role of intracranial pressure variations. An experimental preliminary study using distortion products otoacoustic emissions measurement and future perspectives"

I am extremely grateful for this recognition, and particularly for the assistance provided to me in this enormous work by prof Francesca Larese Filon, and prof. Arturo Moleti and Dr. Renata Sisto.

Un mese fa finiva un lungo percorso universitario, di esperienze e di crescita.🎓 Devo ringraziare tutte le persone che mi hanno accompagnato in questi anni.
Ora ne inizia uno completamente nuovo!🚀

Just one month ago, a long academic journey of growth and plenty of experiences has come to an end.🎓 I am deeply grateful to all the people who followed and trusted me throughout those years.
A new voyage is going to begin!

See you in the future

Ad astra!✨

Great experience this month with amazing people at ESA, Belgium for the Human Space Physiology Training Course 2023 @europeanspaceagency

Learning and teamworking about human physiology in the harsh environment of space, it was an inspiring opportunity... in the middle of the forests of nowhere!
