He was REJECTED for Ram. Then he became India's Ram. In 1987, Ramanand Sagar auditioned Arun Govil for Lord Ram and said no. The makers then offered him Bharat or Lakshman. He refused. He only wanted to play Ram. A few days later, they called him back. The rest is history. 39 years later, he is back in the new Ramayana as King Dasharath, Ram's father. One rejection is not the end of your story. 👇 Who is the REAL Ram for you: Arun Govil or Ranbir Kapoor? ✈️ Send this to the friend who gave up after one rejection. Several actors turned down Lakshman in Ranbir's Ramayana. Then a TV actor got the role. 🏹 Casting director Mukesh Chhabra said on a podcast that 2 to 3 actors said no to the part. The role went to Ravi Dubey, known for years of TV work, and Chhabra said they couldn't have found a better Lakshman. Ramayana: Part 1 releases on 5 November. The lesson for every actor: no role is small, and TV is not a "smaller" job. 👇 Who would have been YOUR Lakshman? Comment below. ✈️ Send this to the friend who thinks TV is a step down.
