A year since we opened SMASH on Broadway so naturally now is the right time for a photo-dump.

It was shorter lived than a lot of us had hoped, but it still made baby Chelle’s dream come true.

And that’s absolutely documentation of our director, Ms. Susan Stroman, announcing in front of our FIRST PREVIEW audience that I was making my Broadway debut with just 4 hrs notice. Actual insanity. by @musicaltheatrewest

SMASH closed before I got the chance to sing this iconic @marc_shaiman and @scottwittman song on a Broadway stage. But I was given a little gift by being asked to perform in “At This Performance” @thegreenroom42 the day after we closed. This felt like a special night for a lot of reasons and I’m really grateful for another opportunity to get to do what I love. taken in The Green Room 42 by @musicaltheatrewest

What do you say when someone you love most in the world has their dreams come true and you get to be there to witness it? Chelle made her Broadway debut with 4 hours notice on the first night of previews for SMASH. She was hysterical, her timing was perfect, and she held her own up there with the big dogs. Any of you reading this who know Chelle know of her incredible talent and magic she brings to any project. And of the genuine kindness and love she brings to those around her. She earned this moment. She deserves this moment. And I was so glad I was able to be there for this monumental moment, which when your friend is an understudy/swing you don’t know when they’ll go on. My little bean, you did it. And you have an entire village of people who love you, support you, and will cheer you on for all time. And Julie and Bill, you really did it. You raised this little star.

When Jelly comes to town…we sing. It was so much fun to get together and sing and have fun like we used to.
We love @trousdalemusic and knew we wanted to give one of their songs a try.

Also, it’s Suicide Prevention Month so the words of this song ring especially true. “We’re glad you’re here”.

If you’re fighting
If you’re broken
It means you’re human
You’re one of us

If you’re hurting
I hope you hear me
When you’re barely hanging on
There is a light at the end of this tunnel
Give yourself a little time to heal

If you’re hurting
It means you’re here
I’m glad you’re here taken in New York, New York by @musicaltheatrewest

It finally feels real!! On Friday night, I made my Jagged Little Pill Debut. 💊❤️This whole process has been a “pinch me” moment and has already expanded me in ways I couldn’t even imagine. I’m so grateful to get to spend the next year on the road with this incredible company. by @musicaltheatrewest
