A closer look at our @deadly.dozen Male Pairs World Record splits vs previous world record 📊

Lots of takeaways ahead of our next race. Time to put the work in 🤝🏼

Manchester Marathon 5km splits ⬆️

4 years since I started running & 4 years of consistency.

2022- 3:37

2026- 2:48

During this time I’ve learnt that consistency always beats motivation. It’s not about one run, it’s about how you repeat it.

Far from my finest race, and one I know I could have done more with. A performance I’ll use as motivation for the next one.

No PB, but plenty to be happy with. Amazing support today as always. Fitness is finally trending in the right direction again.

Thursday Night Track 3x15’ (2’)

Rep 1- @ 3:49/km
Rep 2- @ 3:46/km
Rep 3- @ 3:43/km

Controlled progressive efforts. 10 days out from MCR half. This year it’s going to be a B race for me. With lots of racing coming up it’s important to pick and choose the ones you go all in on 📈

Deadly Dozen AG World Champions 🥇 🌍

A week on from our first race together & an incredible experience provided by @deadly.dozen

Our race plan was executed near perfectly….unfortunately it wasn’t the best plan for this style of racing 🫠

It was a pleasure racing with a top athlete in @jude_reynolds_ and an even bigger pleasure to come away as AG world champs.

Second Title of the weekend and what better way to do it than with @clehfitness

My first @deadly.dozen (DD) Pairs race and one I’ll definitely come back to.

What’s strange about DD is that although the runs are only 12 x 400m, the majority of the stations are so muscularly taxing that my runs ended up only being ~5s/km quicker than a HYROX where there’s about 30% more running.

Labours like Bear Crawl and Overhead Plate Carry felt so foreign to me that my body didn’t respond as well as hoped when running off different movement patterns like those.

Regardless, our runs were consistent but is the element of the race i’ll look to focus on pushing harder next time.
We started the race slightly too conservative and consequently missed out on some £££ as a result.

Nonetheless a fun race and a good weekend.
Well done @jason.curtis.official for putting on an incredible WC weekend.

One more non-HYROX race before the season properly begins @hybridnw

Speed work returns after a week off with illness.

5x1km into 5x400m (off-plan) session on the road with @elsinclair4

Leg turnover still seems to be there thankfully 🥹 back to the plan tomorrow.

Can’t beat @veloziasportswear Performance T for sessions like this — proper fit and built for the harder efforts.
