That's wealth to me. If you don't define your version of wealth, you will chase someone else's. Most women I speak to aren't confused about how to earn. They're unclear about what they're earning for. I speak about achieving a 7 figure net worth because I know a lot of female business owners have outgoings of AT LEAST £4k per month and to achieve that through investing alone... You need a £1m net worth. I know this wouldn't be enough for many of you, especially being the female breadwinner and wanting to live full lives. Without knowing what "enough" looks like for you and your own personal blueprint to get there, you will keep increasing income without ever being able to slow down. ❓Have you ever calculated what your rich and wealthy lifestyle would cost? This is the work we'll be doing in the workshop next week. DM or comment "WORKSHOP" and I'lI send the link less by @cleonedd
There’s a point where earning more stops feeling reassuring. Your business works and the money is coming in. From the outside, everything looks fine. But behind the scenes, more and more depends on you to carry the decisions and an increase responsibility. Alot of the time, you're thinking, “what if something changes? Will we survive?” This isn't because money is tight. Money hasn't been structured to be kept without your constant attention. I know this stage well. I spent years working in finance and accounting, building a business, and believing that once I earned enough, I’d finally relax. When I hit that level, the relief didn’t come. Instead, I realised something important: 👉🏽I understood money on paper. 👉🏽I hadn’t built a financial life that could support me without constant effort. I had surplus for the first time and no structure for it. That was the turning point. Earning well isn’t the same as being secure. Income is fragile if it isn’t turned into something that supports you. The real shift isn’t broke → rich. It’s: “I hold everything” → “My life is supported.” If this feels familiar, you’re not behind. You’re at the point where your income needs to be matched by a financial structure that grows with you as your business and life grows. by @cleonedd
Last Friday I had the absolute privilege to speak at @thepowerlunchclub, hosted by @thechelseaembodimentcoach and @personalbranding_bybeatrice, on how the "I'm not Earning Enough" Trap to create wealth is running the show in many established women's financial lives. The core of it was this: Women have been building wealth through a blueprint made for men. Different focus, different risk permission, different access, different starting point and still handed the same playbook. Following a mold that was never built for you and struggle, gets read as a personal failure. That you're not disciplined enough or putting the right amount of effort. It's not a personal failure. It's a systemic mismatch. The relief in that room was instant. Woman after woman realised the guilt she's been carrying was never proof she was doing it wrong. It was proof she'd been handed the wrong blueprint from the start. Thank you Caroline and Beatrice for the invitation, and to every woman in that room, the shares, the bravery - I'm still on a high! @howtodiplomat talk will have a debrief! Before I close, here is one question I left the room with to begin taking action: What's the one financial decision you've been sitting on too long that you're declaring to take action on now? Share below or DM me for accountability 👇🏼 --------- What am I currently working on now? 💫 Welcoming in a new cohort of women mid-October to be my group program, Wealth She Grows (DM me if you're interested) 💫 Speaking at @iamjojobarbosa event, 180 Shift on the 10th October (I've got limited free tickets if you want to take one and watch me and an impressive line up speak!) 💫 Strengthening partnerships with financial advisors and other financial professionals to bridge the gap in financial technical support and holistic, personalised life wealth planning. 💭 “I don’t earn enough yet to start building wealth.” It’s a phrase that many women say to themselves – whether they’re earning £35,000 or £350,000 a year. At this week’s COCO Women Founders Online Business Mastermind Hour, Personal Wealth Strategist @cleonedd challenged this belief and explored the hidden patterns that often stop women from prioritising wealth-building. Some of the key takeaways included: ✨ Why earning more money doesn’t automatically create wealth ✨ The difference between being an Invisible Investor and having a clear wealth strategy ✨ How Decision Delayers keep moving the goalposts and waiting for the “right time” ✨ Understanding your personal Income Floor – the amount your bank balance naturally returns to, no matter how much you earn ✨ Why wealth-building is often more psychological than practical One of the most powerful reminders from the session was that the gap isn’t usually a lack of information. Most of us already know enough to get started. The real challenge is identifying the behaviours, beliefs and patterns that keep us stuck. A huge thank you to Cleo for such an insightful and thought-provoking session, and to all the women who joined us and shared their experiences so openly. So, here’s a question for you: What does wealth actually mean to you – freedom, security, choice, time, or something else entirely? ➡️ Key takeaways can be found on the News section of our website! .......... #WomenInBusiness #WomenFounders #FinancialWellbeing #WealthBuilding #FemaleEntrepreneurs by @cleonedd
Day 8: Unconventional ways to parent when life feels challenging. I am no parenting expert but these things have helped me remain grounded through challenging times preventing me to overspend, emotionally/mindless spend because rather than feeding the cycle, these practices break them. 1. Kitchen dancing with feel good music (currently Soca classics). 2. Playing music that brings back happy memories. 3. Walking in nature (tires out the kids too!). 4. Collectively do kids yoga, Cosmic Yoga on YouTube. 5. Co-regulate with hugs with your kids when they are leaning into how you're feeling. What things do you do to help regulate when you can't escape from parenting duties Share in the comments 👇🏽 #cleoyapping by @cleonedd
Day 7: Survivors guilt will block financial blessings quicker than lack of financial knowledge ever will. @1judilove's shared real life examples of how becoming more financial successful than the community she was brought up in had her in her feelings. And I totally get it. When you've come from humble beginnings, there is this a moral dilemma of becoming financially successful and secure... will mean that the trade off is losing alot of the life you had before and been seen as a sell out? There are multiple truths and untruths to that, depending on the perspective you look at it. Ultimately, this is, has been and always will be the goal - to do better than who came before us. It's a normal response and managing everyone's reactions is not your business. Have you ever experienced survivors guilt? #cleoyapping by @cleonedd
DAY 6: Female breadwinners make money but fall behind in building wealth. The highly successful, high functioning women are led to believe that it's the strategy or lack of financial knowledge. That does play a part. But there is something way bigger at play which isn't talked about. A woman who's used to being successful at life doesn't have a knowledge or discipline issue - she can Google and enrol on a course to bridge that gap. The ultimate challenge is her identity. The identity she has created up to this point has taken her so far and has reached her upper limit. What she needs to shift now are parts of her identity that will provides the self-permission to upgrade from where she currently is at. The way you are with money reflects alot about how we feel about ourselves. Because with anything in life, when reaching a new level, there is a trade off. What do you feel the biggest trade-off for you to own the identity of a wealthy woman? #cleoyapping by @cleonedd
DAY 5: Showing up even when you don't want to. If you've only got 40% to gift, that's 100% of effort. There's money fe mek! I seen you 🙏🏽 #cleoyapping by @cleonedd
Day 3, Part 1: Living life as nothing is permanent or forever. You could argue that it means that someone who lives this way has one foot in and one foot out or an avoidant. On the contrary, I've witnessed time and time again, it's the complete opposite. You have to CHOOSE the life you decide to live on a daily basis. Not once, not sometimes, DAILY. The moment you stop doing that, it's easy to take for granted that things will always be as they are or were. - Mortality - Health challenges - Uncertain job markets - People perspectives and beliefs changing - Inevitable evolution of life and the world Have all taught me that. The world will change around you without even noticing if you expect to believe choosing and committing once is enough. The really work begins then. I'd love to get your take on this. by @cleonedd
Day 2: Part 2 - Is it okay for things to be easy? It's the desired end goal but if you're used to always having to work hard for things, when it becomes easy... Do you know how to react? How to manage it? To be okay that you don't have to work so hard for rewards anymore? Do you need to make it more complicated to feel worthy of it because you're used it being hard? I'd love to know in the comments #cleoyapping by @cleonedd
DAY 2, Part 1: #cleoyapping I failed and they passed because the stakes felt too high to outgrow the identity that made me relatable and didn't take too much space. Growing didn't feel safe so my mind and body sabotages my pursuit to "success." It's interesting that this memory came up immediately after posting Day 1 of my yapping challenge when I spoke about overcomplicating things. Have you ever experienced fearing your own success that it hinders your growth? by @cleonedd
