🚨 IT’S OFFICIAL! 🚨

The Green Effect is officially headed to Brusly, Louisiana! 🏀🔥

Coach Craig Green has been named the Lead Assistant Coach for the Brusly Boys Basketball program, joining one of the state’s premier championship-caliber staffs.

Throughout his coaching career, Coach Green has consistently been a game changer. His ability to connect with players, build relationships within a community, and demand complete buy-in from his teams has always separated him from the rest. He’s a coach who develops culture just as much as he develops talent.

Now, the Green Effect is making its way to one of Louisiana’s top basketball programs, where he’ll work alongside one of the area’s most respected head coaches, Kirby Loupe, as they continue building on Brusly’s championship standard.

Coach Green is ready to make an immediate impact, and Brusly just got even stronger.

The mission stays the same: Develop. Compete. Win.

Let’s gooooo! 🔥💚🏆 by @coach_green706

To my Eunice High School family

With a heart that is both heavy and incredibly grateful, I want to share that I have made the difficult decision to step down as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Eunice High School.

This isn’t easy to write because, in such a short amount of time, Eunice became so much more than just the place where I coached basketball. It became home.

When I arrived, I came with a vision of building a basketball program. What I never expected was how much this community would help build ME . You embraced me, encouraged me, believed in me, and reminded me why I fell in love with coaching in the first place.

To my players, you will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for trusting me, believing in me, and allowing me to lead you. Every early morning workout, every practice, every film session, every bus ride, every laugh, every hard conversation, every win, and every loss meant something. Basketball was never just about the scoreboard. It was about becoming better young men. Watching your growth, your resilience, and your commitment gave me purpose every single day.

I hope one day you’ll remember that I didn’t just coach you because I wanted to win games, I coached you because I genuinely cared about the men you are becoming. My greatest hope is that long after you’ve forgotten the plays we ran, you’ll remember the lessons about discipline, accountability, toughness, faith, and believing in yourselves. Most importantly my Godspeed ™️ motto “ The more faith you have, the faster you’ll go.”

To the supportive parents, thank you for trusting me with what matters most to you ; your sons. That trust is something I never took lightly. Thank you for your encouragement, your support, your sacrifices, and for believing in what we were trying to build together.

To the administration, faculty, staff, and the entire Eunice community thank you for welcoming a coach from Georgia with open arms. You didn’t have to, but you did. Every kind word, every packed gym, every handshake, every prayer, and every show of support reminded me that basketball in Eunice is about so much more than a game. It’s about family.

Moved to Louisiana 4 years ago. Started coaching 7th graders at Redstorm. Those same 7th graders finished 32-7 in their final AAU season as juniors going into their senior season.
