Great haul from this week of training - hit 585 on the CB4 bar with @coach_jg and then 295x8 on reverse grip bench, both PRs. Some fun accessories afterwards too. #westside #conjugatemethod by @coach_jg

With the Shane Gillis SNL monologue making its rounds, I just want to take a moment to brag about the man I’m marrying.

I am so deeply proud to love a man who doesn’t just respect women, but actively protects, uplifts, and celebrates them.

A man whose masculinity has never depended on diminishing femininity. Who doesn’t need women to be the punchline to make people laugh. Who sees women’s strength, intelligence, ambition, and independence as things to admire rather than feel threatened by.

And what I love most is that his values don’t begin and end with me.

He shows up. He speaks up. He challenges misogyny, white supremacy and any systems of inequality that puts people down. He educates himself, challenges injustice, and puts real effort into creating a world where ALL people are treated with dignity and freedom.

He is protective without being controlling. Strong without being intimidating. Confident without needing anyone else to feel small. Kind and empathetic to his core.

He makes me feel safe, not because I believe he could win a fight, but because his love has never required me to make myself smaller.

And perhaps my favourite thing about him is that he doesn’t expect applause for any of this. It’s simply who he is. So I want to applaud him, brag about him and show off what a wonderful man he is. In a world of shane gillises, be like my fiancé. Be like Jordan Guilford.

I will never stop celebrating a man who uses his strength to make the world safer for others.

How lucky am I that I get to marry him ❤️#HealthyMasculinity #FeministMen #GreenFlagMen #ShaneGillis #MenWhoSupportWomen by @coach_jg
