Officially a Certified Professional Coach.

What started through fencing and athlete development has evolved into something much bigger, helping people navigate performance, pressure, confidence, identity, and growth.

This is only the beginning.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me long before I had the certificate to prove it.

Some reunions hit differently ❤️

Today I got to spend time with Denise O’Connor, my former coach, Olympian, mentor, and someone whose influence has shaped generations of women in fencing.

I hadn’t seen her in over 20 years.

What started as reconnecting quickly became hours of stories, laughter, memories, and celebrating her 91st birthday.

As I begin gathering stories for a very special legacy project, I’m realizing something powerful:

Some coaches teach a sport.

Some coaches build people, communities, and generations.

Grateful for today.

8th place at the Nikki Franke Classic, and a very dramatic thank-you to Coach! 😂🤺

Year two together, and I’m so proud of your growth Kuba. Thank you for trusting me and putting in the work. Can’t wait for what’s ahead!

Proud of my entire men’s and women’s foil squad! Your hard work and moments like these make those 5 a.m. wake-up calls worth it. 💚

Disclaimer: I did NOT make him kowtow. Entirely his idea. 😝 by @coachingwithadeline

🤺 Behind every flag is a story worth sharing.

My first “Meet the Vet Team” feature for American Fencer introduces Ann-Marie Walters, Kathryn Pierrynowski, and Dayana Martinez Hansen, exploring their journeys to Veteran Worlds and what representing their countries means to them.

Get to know the people behind the results, and follow along for more stories from the veteran fencing community.

Early mornings, hard work, and a season to get ready for! 💚🤺

Thank you to Coach Leo for leading our morning conditioning and helping the Wagner Fencing Team prepare for the season! Today’s beautiful weather gave us the perfect opportunity to take our training outside to the Oval in front of Main Hall for mobility exercises and then indoor footwork.

Great job, Seahawks! Looking sharp and getting stronger together! 💪

What a day at USA Fencing’s Creator Showdown at Pier 17! 🤺

Proud of our Wagner College fencing team for volunteering over the past few days and helping welcome people to the sport. It was so much fun watching creators try fencing for the first time and bring fresh attention to it.

Now I can’t wait to see which creators turn out to be contenders! 👀

What began as an article about how members of the Veteran World Team prepare for Worlds grew into something much more. As I heard their stories, I knew there was more to share. With my editors’ blessing, that article became a new veterans column for American Fencer. 🤺

“Learning What Deserves Urgency,” featuring Jasmina Denner, is the first installment in the series. I hope you’ll read it and follow along as I introduce more of the athletes behind the masks.

Read it at the link in my bio!

An injured foot may change the lesson, but it doesn’t cancel it! 🤺🪑

After a last-minute injury during open bouting, we grabbed the nearest rolling chair and turned today’s lesson into an improvised seated fencing session.

To be clear, this is not official parafencing or wheelchair fencing equipment, just a little coaching creativity and adaptation. Because in fencing, we adjust, find a way, and keep learning! 💪

Happy World Fencing Day from my @wagnerfencing fam team. Can’t wait for this season to start!! by @coachingwithadeline

Happy World Fencing Day! 🤺

Before the rankings, results, and medals, there was the joy of fencing. When pressure feels heavy, remember why you picked up a weapon and stepped onto the strip.

Sometimes the best way forward is to remember why you started.
