Running my first #tcsnycmarathon and first marathon ever tomorrow!

Running a marathon had never been on my radar until a couple years ago. I never thought I would do it because honestly it just seemed too hard. I always though “I’m not a runner.”

Well I guess I’m a runner now.
Tomorrow is a culmination of many weeks of hard work and I would like to thank my wonderful wife @littleladynamedkatie for all the Saturdays I woke you up early as I went out to run. I promise no more early Saturdays for a while. by @coachkevin88

Happy Anniversary @littleladynamedkatie. I’m so lucky to have someone so kind and patient to spend my life with. Thank you for being an amazing wife. Here is to many more years with you. by @coachkevin88

Obligatory flat self photo. #rbcbrooklynhalf tomorrow bright and early. I gave myself the goal of running 4 half marathons and a full marathon this year. This will be half #3 and in a few months I’ll start my training for the #tcsnycmarathon.

Race day ready. Excited for the #rbcbrooklynhalf tomorrow morning. I unofficially ran the distance back in 2020 when everything was canceled, but this will be my first official half marathon. Excited to run Brooklyn. by @coachkevin88

Thanks @thegiveprogram for supporting local fitness trainers during these times while gyms are shut down. I can’t wait to cook all this amazing protein. Fellow coaches and trainers check them out to see how you can get a free box. To all of my members who I miss when you buy a high-quality Protein Box, they’ll donate $25 back to the gym or trainer of your choice. #alonetogether #quarantinestrong #crossfit #equinoxnyc #crossfitnyc #cfhk by @coachkevin88

Today I ran a half marathon for the first time ever. I originally signed up to run the Brooklyn Half Marathon on a whim, but unfortunately last week they canceled it. I know in the grand scheme of things there’s much bigger problems going on. I wanted to say though before training for this I had never run farther than 5 miles. Partly because I had no desire to and partly because I didn’t know if I even could. I trained running twice a week since I signed up. I set small goal distances to hit every other week which helped build my confidence, along with my normal weight training. In the end if there is something you’ve always wanted to do but thought you couldn’t, go out and try. You might just surprise yourself. #dontquitbeforeyoustart #justdoit @nikerunning @precisionrun by @coachkevin88
