OLD FASHIONED – BEAK X COFFEE BY TATE
To celebrate @coffeebytate’s 10th anniversary, we’ve teamed up to create an imperial stout inspired by the classic Old Fashioned cocktail.

At its heart is exceptional Mexican natural anaerobic coffee, sourced by Coffee by Tate from third-generation Indigenous Mazatec producer Ruben Cervantes. Building on the coffee’s rich notes of orange, whisky and chocolate, we’ve added cacao nibs, a twist of orange zest and a dash of orange bitters for a decadent, cocktail-inspired stout.

Alongside the beer, we’re releasing a limited batch of freshly roasted Coffee by Tate whole beans, bursting with flavours of dried blackcurrant, pluot and demerara.

Both are available on our web-store now, including as part of a Stout & Coffee Bundle. by @coffeebytate

Continuing the celebrations of Coffee by Tate and DRWakefield. Ten years ago, the Gender Equality Project began in the @coffeebytate roastery, co-founded by with us.

At least 50% of the coffee in this project is sourced from Female producers- one of these incredible women being @ucha.doagro 💙

Blowing out the candles for @coffeebytate birthday party 🎂

Last week we partnered with @coffeebytate By Tate for their 15th Birthday and 10th anniversary of their Gender Equality Project.

We also celebrate a tasty newcomer to the Islands Chocolate roster. Our limited edition 70% Dark Chocolate Flakes, in collaboration with Coffee By Tate.

Massive thanks to Matthew Jusić-Woodley for hosting us, to Adrian and Jonas for running the biggest Islands cupping to date. Thanks Thomas Haigh and the @drwakefield_coffee team for all of that delicious coffee, and for Maria Jose Tejero Colveé for flying all the way over from Nicaragua and being a part of the evening.

Introducing @islandschocolate x @coffeebytate 70% Dark Chocolate Flakes.

To celebrate 15 years of @coffeebytate and 10 years of its Gender Equality Project, we’ve partnered to create an exclusive 70% dark hot chocolate flake.

Made with exceptional Nicaraguan cocoa sourced through @semillaescuelacacao, a female-led cocoa school supporting cocoa producers across Central America, this limited-edition hot chocolate is rich, indulgent, and full of character.

With this limited run, we are able to support a trainee through @semillaescuelacacao’s cocoa and chocolate training programme, as well as providing fermentation equipment for their quality assessment labs - with hopefully more to come!

Now pouring in @tatecornerbar, as well as Tate Modern and Tate Britain cafés. You can also grab yourself a retail bag of our 70% Flakes in Tate’s café retail shops. by @coffeebytate

CARMEN LÚCIA

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Ucha for 10 years now - since the first year of our Gender Equality Project! To celebrate this milestone we have secured an exciting lot from @caxambuearacacucoffee processed with a technique new to the farm - ‘banga’ (involves the cherries fermenting in banana and mango leaves) This coffee is bright and jammy, a real hit on our test tables.

@joetographies visited Ucha in Brazil earlier this year where he captured these lovely photos, she also visited us in the roastery with @smccafebr and @drwakefield_coffee in July which was a real treat! by @coffeebytate

Something big is brewing.

To celebrate 10 years of @coffeebytate’s Gender Equality Project, we’ve teamed up with our good friends to launch an exciting collaborative project, exclusive to @tate.

We’ll be spilling more about this later this week at @coffeebytate’s birthday party - @tatecornerbar, September 17th from 4pm. See you there! by @coffeebytate

ART 🖼️

To celebrate 15 years of roasting for the gallery we have been working through the Tate archive to select new retail artwork, drawing inspiration from the tasting notes and origins of each coffee.

We have some beauuutiful bags lined up!

All available in our cafes and @tateshops by @coffeebytate

🎂🎂🎂

Two big milestones this year with 15 years of Coffee by Tate and 10 years of our Gender Equality Project! That’s a decade of sourcing at least 50% of our coffee from female producers, a focus that has led to us to some incredible people and stories.

To celebrate we are hosting a coffee tasting in @tatecornerbar with cofounders of our GEP @drwakefield_coffee . Join us after where we will be serving some drinks using new coffees from the GEP collection and some bits from @islandschocolate (more on that SOON!)
