our ep ‘if i’m being honest’ is OUT NOW on @easydoesitrecords! it’s been a long time coming and we are so happy to finally have it out in the world 🩵 a giant thanks to our producer @nixonboyd, without whom this record would sound very different.

thank you to @easydoesitrecords for believing in it and to @digo_best for nailing the mixes like he always does

full story in one of the slides, but I got covid the day we were supposed to start recording, which made for a unique experience for sure.

if you’re in nyc I hope you’ll consider coming out to celebrate with us at @night_club_101 tonight. we’re playing bf with two of our favorite bk bands: @avsepisode and @dead_t00th.

or if you’re in philly, dc, baltimore, richmond, morgantown or pittsburgh we’re headed to you soon :)

also we have new merch! finally made the leap and got official colatura dad hats 🧢 come snag one

thanks to @bandsdobk for letting us share our top 10 and roast our bass player @devan_davies publicly

🎶 Turn It Upstream Artist Spotlight: Colatura

@colatura makes music that balances shimmer and distortion–dreamy one moment, blown-out the next, anchored by sharp hooks and unfiltered storytelling. Long a fixture of Brooklyn’s indie scene, the band relocated to Pittsburgh in 2024, bringing their fuzz-soaked melodies and emotionally candid songwriting with them. Their most recent EP, If I’m Being Honest (Easy Does It Records) plays like a series of late-night confessionals–introspective, nostalgic, and cathartic.

The band has appeared at festivals including SXSW, Capitol Hill Block Party, NXNE, NewColossus, WYEP’s Summer Music Festival, and Pittsburgh’s Millvale and Northside Music Festivals. Following the release of If I’m Being Honest, Colatura toured extensively across the US, UK, and Europe, continuing to carve out their place in the modern indie rock landscape.

Colatura is also set to play at the 2026 @millvalemusic Festival next weekend! 🎉

🔊 You can listen to Colatura live at the Turn It Upstream Music Festival on June 26 in Frick Park Hollow! Tickets are on sale now—swipe for ticket levels/prices and scan the QR code to buy your tickets today!
