⚠️ PLEASE READ AND PLEASE SHARE ⚠️ This custom painted @squidbikes Gravtron V1 and @bellhelmets Helmet quickly became symbols of a new life here at @allezlabikeshop when we first opened. We’d shutdown GSC, lost most everything, and needed something to breathe a new life into our new shop. Squid quickly jumped onboard and helped us make some waves with this bike and helmet, and now we wanna use it to help our dear friend Juan in these hard times.

Juan grew up at GSC and has shaped much of his adulthood with the people he met there. But Juan has had a devastating year, first losing one of his best friends, then losing his mother abruptly and unexpected. Juan had to do fundraising and even worked extra to help his family financially during these trying times. With little to know time to grieve, Juan decided to go on a bike tour to help process his feelings, but even this process was riddled with broken spokes, a saddle, and even his cranks.

We’d say Juan can’t catch a break, but he’s literally broken everything he can. So we wanna raffle off this frame, fork, headset, seat collar, and helmet for @juantwo3four5. Giving him every penny we get from this raffle. If you know Juan, you know he deserves this.

A little treat for myself @collagecoffee by @collagecoffee

Had a great morning stopping by @collagecoffee in Highland Park! You can’t miss this coffee stand that’s covered in stunning collage tiles, and they’ve got a solid menu with drink and food options. It was a warm one so I went with a classic iced vanilla latte 👌

They’ve got a little seating area outside, but with so many places nearby to check out, I just walked around. It’s a great date or solo hang spot full of places to eat, shop and get dessert, like @joyonyork , @donutfriend , @magpiessoftserve , @ramenofyork , @re_grocery , @stickyricela , @oldyorkvintage , and so many more. There are signs up for Common Space Brewery @commonspace.highlandpark coming soon which looks sick! You’ve gotta check out all the cool places on York.

Please help the kindest, most selfless human around, Juan, in these tragic times. Juan’s mother passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, and we’re going to do everything we can to help with the funeral costs. Link to gofundme is in the bio. Help Juan, as he’s been helping you get your perfect coffee fix for 6 years as a part of the collage family…❤️✨✌️ by @collagecoffee

See you Friday! And also, if you don’t live here and wanna order it to ship you can totally do that too. It’s an Ethiopian/Brazilian blend, light & flavorful, we roast it tomorrow so it will be super fresh! Grab some today (link to shop in bio).

Also also, you can just stop by if you haven’t ordered anything too. It will be one of the least boring Friday mornings you’ve had this year, I promise.

My No Sleep EP is all about my early days of fatherhood, and the title track is about me spiraling into madness from no sleep, prompting me to want everyone and everything to have their coffee. So it’s no surprise that I ended up partnering with @collagecoffee here in Highland Park to make my very own No Sleep Coffee. It’s a blend of Ethiopian and Brazilian beans with notes of Tropical Berry, Vanilla and Caramel. I made a large 15oz No Sleep mug to go along with it too if you want to get them both (only sold with the beans for now).

You can pre-order it in my new online store (link in bio), and even set it for pickup at my No Sleep Coffee Pickup Party on 7/18 from 8-11am in the Collage Coffee patio. I’ll be there spinning the EP along with songs that inspired it, should be a fun, unofficial EP release-party.

No Sleep EP out 7/18! See you then!

Who owns the coffee shop you frequent? Is it a corporation? Is it a restaurant group? Is it Starbucks? Phil’s? Or is it independent, owned by an individual or individuals? A family? Where is your money going? ☕️ When you are on a bike, it’s even easier to move on down the road. Find yourself an independent coffee shop you love and let’s start giving the power back to the people. by @collagecoffee
