THE TEMPLE SIBLINGS ARE CHAMPIONS!
TWO JOURNEYS. ONE UNBREAKABLE SPIRIT!

This is what HARD WORK, DETERMINATION, and a REFUSAL TO GIVE UP look like!

🏆 EDEN TEMPLE – SENIOR DIVISION CITY CHAMPION!

Eden closed out her middle school cross country season on TOP, winning the City Championship in the Senior Division! 🥇

But what makes this victory so special is everything she had to overcome to get here.
This season, Eden battled Osgood-Schlatter disease, competing through pain and discomfort. Her times were slower than what she was accustomed to, but one thing NEVER changed: her commitment, determination, and heart!
She kept showing up. She kept fighting. She NEVER gave up. This victory means so much more than a medal! 🖤

Eden will now take a few weeks to rest and undergo PRP treatment as part of her recovery plan. Please keep her in your prayers as she focuses on healing and getting back to doing what she loves. 🙏🏽

🏆 COLLIS TEMPLE IV – JUNIOR DIVISION CITY CHAMPION!

And then there’s Collis!

In his very FIRST cross country season competing for University Laboratory School as the lone 5th grader, Collis stepped up to the challenge of running the 2-mile distance and finished the season as the Junior Division City Champion! 🥇

This young man is MENTALLY TOUGH! His determination, competitive spirit, and ability to push himself continue to amaze me. He doesn’t back down from a challenge, and he proved that once again!

And here’s one of my favorite parts! If you listen closely to the videos, you’ll hear their big sister, Monet, @themonettemple cheering them on in the background! Even while we were away, she was making sure her little sister and brother could hear her support! 🥹
Because in this family, we show up for each other, we celebrate each other, and we cheer each other on, no matter the distance! WE ARE FAMILY!
As their mom, I’m incredibly proud of the medals, but even more proud of the character, discipline, resilience, and mental toughness they’re developing along the way.

Thank you to their incredible Coach Dechelle Simon for everything! So grateful! @missfdl2003 🫶🏾

Monet attended Catholic High’s HOCO with her friend Phillip and had such a lovely time! Thank you to the Takyi family for curating a wonderful evening for the two of them and making it so special! by @collistemple

THANK YOU, COACH BROWN! ❤️

Thank you for standing beside my dad, Collis Temple Jr., a 19-year-old junior navigating the tremendous challenges of being LSU’s first Black basketball player and one of the first in the SEC. You had his back when it mattered.

Thank you for bringing a letter of intent to my dad at the hospital the day I was born—setting the tone for my life before I even knew it.

Thank you for always putting your players first and fighting for their well-being.

Thank you for letting me be a ball boy starting in third grade. Being around you at practices with Ricky Blanton, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Stanley Roberts, Shaquille O’Neal, and so many others gave me a firsthand look at what I wanted to become.

Thank you for always having an encouraging word as I grew as a player—and, after you retired and I became an LSU Tiger, for continuing to lift me up when things got tough.

Thank you for the lives you touched around the world, long after your coaching days were over. Your impact reached far beyond basketball, and your legacy lives on through the people you believed in, stood beside, and inspired.

You lived an extraordinary life, Coach. My family and I are forever grateful.

I’ll always carry my favorite Dale Brown saying with me: “God doesn’t make any junk!” ❤️

THANK YOU, COACH. Rest in peace. 🙏🏾 by @collistemple

If you had a chance to check out The Advocate in Baton Rouge on yesterday, you may have spotted Monet Temple flying to get a kill, the U-High Lady Cubs ready on defense, and their opponent’s Parkview Baptist! 📰🏐

Congratulations to Mo (24 Kills) and her teammates for the big win and securing their spot at the top of the district! Your toughest opponents mentally can be against your friends…and a couple of her close friends play on the other team! She was ready and didn’t let it affect her at all! Congrats both teams on a good match.
Lady Cubs keep making us proud! Great Job🖤💛

Last but certainly not least, thank you to our wonderful family for continuously supporting Mo!
Let’s go, CUBS! 🐾 by @collistemple

HAPPY BIRTHDAY @britneytemple!!! An ABSOLUTELY AMAZING woman I am BEYOND BLESSED to call my wife!

So much of what we have in common first drew me to you, but the things that are uniquely YOU keep me falling in love with you over and over again. Your heart, your strength, your beauty, and the way you love our family leave me in awe of the woman you are.

Britney, I hope you never question how much I SEE you, APPRECIATE you, DESIRE you, and LOVE you! Being your husband is one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I would choose you ALL OVER AGAIN!

Happy Birthday, baby! ❤️❤️❤️ by @collistemple

CONGRATULATIONS COLLIS TEMPLE IV!

Collis was selected for the Louisiana American Choral Directors Association ALL-STATE CHOIR, representing University Laboratory School! After three days of rehearsals in New Orleans, these talented young vocalists delivered a breathtaking performance at the LaFon Performing Arts Center and I’m so grateful for the University Lab School music teacher Ms. Molly Toups for supporting and preparing those selected for this wonderful opportunity. Congratulations to all students selected, its truly an honor. Also, Thank you Meredith for the support you provided while I was dividing and conquering being a mother of 4.

Now, I know what you’re thinking… WAIT! HE CAN SING TOO?! 😂🤣 YESSSS! And he comes by it HONESTLY!

Music runs DEEP in his DNA!

His paternal grandmother, Shirley, was a pianist and sang in the historic Tuskegee 100 Choir under William L. Dawson, performing at Radio City Music Hall and for President Franklin D. Roosevelt! His paternal aunt also studied music.

On my side, my grandmother was a pianist, and my grandfather and great uncle sang in Southern University’s choir and a trio that performed all over! It passed down to my maternal uncles Prince and Sylvain who are both in heaven but sang in choirs and performed solos all over the city.

What makes this moment even sweeter is that Collis’ Aunt Valeria and my Uncle Sylvain, both sang at our wedding.

As I watched Collis IV perform, I couldn’t help but imagine his ancestors smiling down, hearing the family legacy continue through another generation. 🥹

Athletics may be a huge part of our family, but music is deeply rooted in our history, too!

Collis, we are SO proud of you! Keep embracing ALL the gifts God has given you! ❤️ by @collistemple

VICTORY THROUGH ADVERSITY!

My girl Eden Temple has been battling growing pains and Osgood-Schlatter’s, but today she showed up, pushed through the challenges, competed, and came away with the VICTORY against 215 other runners!

As a mother, I know the challenges she’s faced, the frustration of not feeling 100%, and how much she loves to compete. Watching her persevere and come out on top today made this victory even sweeter!

Eden, I’m so proud of your determination, resilience, and heart! Keep trusting God, listening to your body, and remembering that every obstacle is an opportunity to grow.
The victory is sweet, but the perseverance behind it is priceless! by @collistemple

Part 4: She is LOVED! ❤️👑🎉

Today, I watched my first baby take another beautiful step into young adulthood! 🥹❤️ My Princess Monet turned SWEET 16, and what a day it was!

She started her morning by getting her DRIVER’S LICENSE! 🚗 Then it was off to get her eyebrows and toes done, and somehow she still managed to make it back in time to finish most of her school day! 😂 That’s my girl!

Tonight, we celebrated her at one of her favorite places, surrounded by more than 30 family members who showed up to shower her with LOVE! And the highlight of the evening? Watching her receive a gift she’s been patiently waiting for… HER BRONCO! 🚙🎀❤️

As her mother, I couldn’t be more proud of the young lady she is becoming. Respectful, responsible, hardworking, humble, and deserving of every blessing coming her way. She doesn’t just make me proud because of what she accomplishes, but because of WHO SHE IS!

Monet, I pray you never question how deeply you are loved. You have an entire village cheering for you, praying over you, and celebrating every step of your journey.

Lord, please continue to keep Your hedge of protection around my baby. Guide her steps, order her path, protect her coming and going, and surround her with Your favor. 🙏🏾

Tonight was PERFECT! My heart is FULL! ❤️

Thank You, God, for choosing me to be her mother. Thank You for 16 beautiful years of loving, raising, and watching my Princess Monet blossom into the incredible young woman she is today.

Beauty. Brains. Talent. And above all… LOVED! 👑❤️ by @collistemple

PART 3: TALENT 🏐🔥

Happy Sweet 16 Princess Monet!

And then there’s the TALENT! 🏐🔥

Monet, I have watched you work, sacrifice, train, compete, win, struggle, get back up and keep pushing.

You are one of the most gifted volleyball players of your generation, and yes, your mama believes with everything in me that you have the ability to become one of the greatest volleyball players to ever come out of the state of Louisiana.

But talent alone isn’t what makes you special.

It’s your work ethic.
It’s your competitiveness.
It’s your leadership.
It’s your willingness to be coached.
It’s your desire to keep getting better.

God gave you the gift, but YOU continue to put in the work.

Keep stretching yourself. Keep walking into rooms that challenge you. Keep believing there is another level.

You are CHOSEN, Monet. And the world hasn’t seen anything yet. 🏐👑🔥

Beauty. Brains and TALENT..👑❤️

PART 2: BRAINS 📚✨

Happy 16th Birthday Princess Monet!

People see the athlete, but I need the world to know about the STUDENT.

My baby is a 4.0 student! 📚👏🏾

Monet, your intelligence has amazed me since you were a baby. You were reading at just 15 months old, and watching your mind continue to grow has been one of my greatest joys.

You understand that your gifts will open doors, but your education, discipline, work ethic and ability to THINK will help you walk confidently through them.

Continue to challenge yourself. Stay curious. Ask questions. Dream bigger than what you can currently see. Never stop learning.

Your mind is one of your greatest gifts.

Beauty AND Brains. Always has been. 💕📚👑

Monet’s 4 Part Birthday post! (Yes, I’m extra!) 🤣

PART 1: BEAUTY 👑✨

Happy Sweet 16 to my beautiful Princess, Monet!

From the moment I first held you, I thought you were absolutely perfect. But as you’ve grown, I’ve learned that your beauty is so much bigger than what anyone can see on the outside.

Yes, you are breathtakingly beautiful, but what makes you truly beautiful is the young woman you are becoming. Your confidence. Your strength. Your independence. The way you know who you are and aren’t easily swayed by others.

Monet, never allow the world to define beauty for you. Stop often, look in the mirror, and LOVE what you see..not just your face, but your heart, your character, your growth and the woman looking back at you.

You are beautifully and wonderfully made, Princess.

16 looks BEAUTIFUL on you. 💕👑

There are moments that leave you speechless… and last night was definitely one of them!

The gym was ELECTRIC and PACKED! U-High faced Dunham in a long-awaited matchup, and the Cubs showed up! They played so well together, fought for EVERY point, and left it all on the court. 💛🖤

And Monet Temple… WENT OFF! 🔥🔥🔥

There was NOTHING she couldn’t do!

🏐 26 KILLS
🔥 .468 HITTING %
💪🏾3 SETS
🧹 3–0 SWEEP

Against one of the top teams in the state!!! INSANE! 🤯

Watching my baby compete with that kind of confidence, intensity, and composure was something special. I’m so proud of her and this entire team!

ANDDDD… check out The Advocate today! 📰 Monet is featured in the paper! 🙌🏾

Thank you, Mr. Salzer, for taking the time to interview her and highlight her performance!

Keep working, #41. 💛🖤 The journey is just getting started!
