POSTS STORIES REELS

Six years ago, Colorama started with a market stall, some colourful clothes, lots of dreams and absolutely no idea where this little business would take us 🌈🙏✨

And what a journey it has been 💛
The last couple of years brought a LOT of change, a baby, a divorce, a shop, new ideas, new dreams… and if you know Rochita, you know there’s always another one coming 😅✨

Having our own Colorama shop was such a beautiful experience and a very special chapter for us 🌈 We loved having our own colourful space and learned so much from it 💕

For now, we’re very proud to be a market stall business, right where Colorama started 😍✨
We LOVE connecting with you in real life, the conversations at the stall, seeing familiar faces every week, meeting visitors from all over Australia and the world, and watching you try something on and light up. That connection has always been one of the most special parts of this business 🧡

And somewhere along the way, our love for people and community also grew into something of its own: @coloramacollective 💕🌈✨ a way for us to give some of the love and support you’ve shown Colorama back to our community 😍

We also want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all the beautiful friends, collaborators and incredible people who have been part of Colorama along the way 🧡

Every person has left a little piece of themselves in this journey, and Colorama wouldn’t be what it is today without you 🥰 and none of this would exist without YOU.

Just thinking about how every shirt, dress or colourful piece you’ve bought has helped keep this little business going… but honestly, it has always been about so much more than the purchases ✨
It’s the conversations
The hugs
The familiar faces every week
The customers who became friends
The stories you’ve shared with us
The people who have believed in us along the way

Six years later, we’re still colourful, still dreaming, still learning and still creating and more connected to our purpose than ever 🌈✨

Thank you for growing with us! Thank you for believing in us! And thank you for being part of the Colorama story! 🧡

See you at 💛

Our hearts are so full ❤️🇻🇪

Thank you to everyone who came, volunteered, donated, cooked, performed @genie2.o & Harries (We love you guys) and supported the Venezuelans Together community event ❤️‍🩹

Even though it all came together at the last minute, it became one of the most beautiful family community events I’ve ever been part of. It reminded me once again why Darwin is home. Seeing people from so many different cultures come together with kindness, generosity, and love was something really special 🙏✨

A very special thank you to Mili! @mileinnysreyes 🥹 I don’t think many people realise how much love and hard work you put into making this happen ❤️‍🩹 From organising all the amazing homemade food to bringing together such a beautiful group of people, you gave your whole heart to this event. Thank you for trusting us to be part of such a beautiful day ✨

A huge thank you as well to @melakulcha for opening your doors and giving us a place to bring everyone together, and to @rite2risehq for always believing in community, connection, and supporting initiatives like this 😊

I’m so proud of what we created together, and so grateful to everyone who stood with the Venezuelan community, this is what community looks like ❤️

As we celebrate this beautiful day, please don’t forget that many Venezuelan families are still living through this heartbreaking tragedy. The impact is still being felt by so many people, and they continue to need our love, support, and prayers ❤️🇻🇪

I love Darwin. I love our community and I love my friends 🥰 #grateful #community #love

Our Rite 2 Rise Youth-led market stall has been operating at @parapvillage markets for around two months. This collaboration with @colorama.creatives provides young people with the opportunity to learn life skills in a real environment, and acts as a launchpad into their own micro enterprise or other employment pathways. But really, it's about community.

The market stall currently operates a pay-as-you-feel op shop, workshops space for young creatives and next week we are launching a book exchange!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
1. Donate quality second hand clothes for the op shop.
2. Donate new or used books for the boom exchange.
3. Come down to Parap Markets next Saturday and engage with our young stall holders.
4. Attend the Venezuela Together event next Saturday night at @melaleucaaustralia from 4pm to witness first hand the power of community.

Shoot us a message and we will come collect any donated good from you throughout the week. Or drop them at our Moulden office. Or bring them to Parap Markets next Saturday.

All profits from this week and next week's Rite 2 Rise market stall will be given to the Venezuela Together team to create an unforgettable night of giving, music, food, dance and community. by @coloramacollective

Some Spanish words feel like poetry 🌙🌱🌈
✨ Words that hold emotions, moments, and sensations that are difficult to fully translate into English.
🌅 Aurora : dawn, the first light of day
🍂 Efímero : something beautiful and fleeting
✨ Inefable : something too beautiful or profound to describe with words
🌇 Ocaso : sunset, the end of the day
🌬️ Susurro : whisper
💛 Gentileza : kindness, gentleness
🤍 Apapacho: a soul hug, an embrace from the heart Language is more than communication.

This is one of the reasons we love sharing Spanish and Latin culture through our workshops and community experiences
