Another week of costumes done and done!
#HalloweenHotMess #costumecraziness by @completely.carolyn

Videographer credit goes to Lora.
Intuition-to-match-the-scene-perfectly credit goes to me.
We had so much fun at @bearlake_adventurepark while at the UpBeat retreat and I would like to publicly thank whoever made the playlist that day. It was perfection.

Thanks again @loraknightfitness!! I wish I could hire you for all awkwardness. by @completely.carolyn

**I thought each of these captions would stay under the photo I wrote them for. Apparently not.**
1. The UpBeat founders are women who have given me, and so many others, a place to belong, a workout we love, and the encouragement to always be ourselves and be proud of who that is.

2. 🎶“Friendship never ends…”🎶 This community has brought some of the very best women into my life.

3. Just a car full of middle aged women in the Canes drive thru, channeling our inner Spice and pickin up some chicken.

4. Just in case you were wondering if I still ended up being the weirdest one in the photos.

5. Gimme a ‘U’!!! Gimme a ‘P’!!!! Gimme an…arrow!!

6. Old friends and new friends.

7. Is any caption going to do this photo justice? No.
Maybe just some hashtags then.

8. The Silo Sisters + Liza

9. Line dancing was so fun! Thanks again to Trevor @bear_lake_boot_scoot !!

10. Yee-haw!!!

11. Late night loopiness was a bit extra on our last night together. We are not for everyone, and we are okay with that. 😄

12. 🌅

13. One of my goals in life…to always be fun and have fun.

14. Incredible acting skills displayed here.

15. A few of us were POSITIVE that we could attack level 4 of this ropes course, right from the start. Well, they never opened levels 3 or 4 because of staffing, and with the struggles we had on only level 2…. I believe our pride was spared.

16. On-point vocals by Lora 🎤@loraknightfitness

17. Our Magic Carpet

18. One of my favorite videos from the whole trip. Jenny, making the most of being stuck on the obstacle by dance-jamming to the playlist. And then me, pulling a “mom, watch me!” while Lora’s laugh just about did me in.

19. Sooo… I had left my Hydro jug Crystal‘s house, an hour away from the retreat. To prevent us from backtracking on our way home, someone was nice enough to hide it in a bush for me. I asked ChatGPT to make me a map so I could find it and not get lost. 😂

20. This was me, following the map. Again, a display of some top notch acting. by @completely.carolyn

Congrats Trey!!!! Love you!

What a feat!! This hike is no joke! Last weekend Jeff and I had a goal to hike Humphreys Peak…all the way to the top. We weren’t sure if the weather would cooperate but it was absolutely perfect and didn’t start raining until right when we got back to our car. Any amount of distance on this hike is an accomplishment but I was so happy we were able to make it to the summit! Such a cool experience!
Who wants to go with me next time?? ⛰️ by @completely.carolyn

The weather warning called to us like a bat-signal. Lightning, rain, and 50+ mph winds made it a perfect setting for some Smooth Criminal leaning.

Core memory ✔️ by @completely.carolyn

The only gifts my mom ever ask for are lip syncing videos from her kids. It’s her favorite thing in the whole world. This was our Mother’s Day gift to her this year. She used to bust a move in her denim jumper dress every Sunday after church (the reason my sisters and I are in denim). This song was a frequent favorite. My parents were both so great at teaching us all that is okay to be silly in life. 🩵 by @completely.carolyn

I love that Carolyn gave this piece of advice.🙌🏼 Grief can be such a tricky journey and it’s different for everyone. I think it can be pretty common for people to feel guilty for not being actively affected by the grief after some time. While the grief never truly goes away, the sharpness of it can fade over time.💜

What would you do if you were faced with the possibility of having a child who wouldn’t be able to experience life fully? Many parents face that possibility—some say they don’t feel it’s fair to the child to allow them to live that way. Others, often relying on their faith in God, say that must be the way it’s supposed to be. Where do you fall on that subject?🤔

Episode 17: “Love That Outlives Loss”

Carolyn joins me to share about losing her son, Beckett, just after his birth. Her faith, strength, and hope is so admirable. This episode is so helpful especially for the friends & family of someone who has experienced this type of loss.💙 Links in bio to watch & listen.

Wise words from a fellow fitness instructor, Sadie, dealing with a foot injury right now. I had her send me a playlist with all her favorite songs so I could do this class in her honor. 😊
