What a beautiful collection of autumnal jewel tones, Dahlias, Cosmos, and textured grasses! A fabulous pre-order for @wizzandwild autumn retreat!

We still have lots of flowers available on our farms and the season is still giving us some beautiful blooms! We love bringing British flowers & foliage to our fabulous florists, and seeing what they create is so special.

So sad not to have been able to get to @strawbhillhouse this year for @flowers.at.the.house festival, it looks to have been another wonderful celebration of British flowers and floral talent.

I have such fond memories of exhibiting with Sarah from @comptongardenflowers and this windowsill from our first time there still sits in my memories as one of my favourite things I’ve had a hand in. For me it’s sums everything that I love about using British Flowers and creates a snap shot of the moment in time, if I remember correctly we’d had an early frost that year which meant we had to pivot with some of our flowers choices. I think it was worth it though! by @comptongardenflowers

Delivery to the hub this week included a lot of hydrangea which is looking fabulous at the moment. This variety starts the season whitey lime green and then changes to whitey dusky pink. Natures miracles! by @comptongardenflowers

These two ladies Wendy Paul @organicblooms (with lovely Lou @grown_and_gathered here) and Sarah Wilson @comptongardenflowers (pic 2 👉🏼) - what can I say apart from it was a complete honour to have them stop by our display, and for them to be so very chuffed for me on our medal result. Both have acted as mentors to me in our conversations over the years and I listen to their every word of advice and guidance. They are incredibly kind, supportive and really know their onions when it comes to running a growing business.

I first met Wendy probably about 6 years ago when I went on a tour of Organic Blooms. I also met Jo, her business partner that day too. It was a ‘stop me, I think I would like to grow flowers and plants commercially’ absolute pivotal point in my life as I talked to them and saw their amazing growing space. I fell in love with their philosophy of providing employment for people with learning disabilities and have been in awe of their passion as previous Chairs of Flowers from the Farm and consistent leaders in our field since (s’cuse the pun!).

Sarah at Compton Garden Flowers is the ultimate class act. Anyone who knows her will know she has a quiet calm about her with a determination to get things done and brings great people with her along the way. Not in a boss type style, more in a Chairman type way that is such a rare skill these days. She is leading the force in the new @somersetflowergrowercollective which is already proving to be a great success.

Thank you for stopping by. And for your hugs of joy! by @comptongardenflowers
