Hi!! My name is Bee 🐝

I’m a single mama from RVA and I love crafting/crocheting/embroidery/painting/restoring antique furniture. One of my friends suggested that I make an instagram to share my work and take commissions, so here we are! :) Swipe to see the Bluey blanket I made for my kiddo’s 2nd birthday 🩵💙

I haven’t had too much time (or energy tbh) to finish my current projects, but I might make a post of all my WIPs soon to showcase what I’m working on currently :)

Thanks for looking!👀 by @confusionbeecreates

I cannot tell you how many takes it took to get here, but here’s Muffin’s version of this trend💀 by @confusionbeecreates

I’m late but happy September! Here are some things I finished (kinda) in August ❣️

🧶Solomon’s Shrug by @skumpstitch

🧶 Celestial Bag by @pop_culture_crochet

Framed my 10th anniversary edition vinyls of How Big How Blue How Beautiful by @florenceandthemachine in a vintage frame I found on marketplace 💙

🧶A gradient blanket I freehanded for a friend

Repainted & added stained glass clings to a mirror I found on marketplace 🌸

August was weird lol. I feel like I blinked and it was over! Hopefully I’m a little more productive in September. I’ve been battling illness since July and am slowly getting better. ❤️‍🩹 by @confusionbeecreates

This fit/selfie was universally adored, so it now lives on the grid 😘❤️ by @confusionbeecreates

Reminiscing on how magical my maternity photos came out at @maymont_rva with @carlyfowlerphotography 🥹🌸

Also looking at these helps me remember why my back always hurts these days 😅 by @confusionbeecreates

Crocheted myself a mushroom hat because I needed some whimsy after the dumpster fire that was July 🥲🍄

Pattern from @nataliecrochetdesigns & Wooly Sheep Patterns on Etsy!

Happy August!!! Here’s a roundup of stuff I made/decorated in July ❣️

• Death’s Head Hawkmoth Bandana 🦋
• Couple’s painting of a city skyline with @swampsparkler
• Redecorated my bedroom and crocheted a cover for my headboard 🛏️
• Put together a display of my Lungs 10th Anniversary vinyl in a vintage frame I found on fb marketplace 🫁
• Apple bag for Waylon🍎
• Sunflower steering wheel cover 🌻
• Checkered lavender and white bucket hat 🤍💜

July was a challenging month where a lot of my life went sideways and my hobbies and creative outlets really helped to ground me through all of it. I’m really grateful for my creativity and ability to make art and share it with the people I love❣️

It’s the end of June so I’m showing off one of the wearable crochet projects I completed this month! The Fae Sleeves (pattern via @spiritandthreadcrochet) in my favorite color 💛💛💛💛featuring my kitten Muffin, who tolerates my love and shenanigans🐱

Project Info!

Pattern purchased from @spiritandthreadcrochet
Yarn is Red Heart Super Saver 100% Acrylic in Saffron Yellow
5.5 mm crochet hook

One technique I cannot live without is using a steamer on my finished acrylic pieces! It makes the yarn soooo much softer and much more flowy/wearable :)

Thanks for l💛💛king 🧶🐝 by @confusionbeecreates

@thesatkinson absolutely ROCKING the custom commission I made for them using @lunar.rabbit.crochet’s pattern for the Siren Sweater crop top (minus the sleeves!) 🖤🖤🖤

I love doing commissions and customizing them to your needs and aesthetics! DM me if you’d like to create something cool with me :) (Trades are accepted!) by @confusionbeecreates

Remembering that time when @cypressrosehair.co dyed my armpit hair rainbow to celebrate Pride Month back in 2023 🏳️‍🌈💕
