One year ago today, my darling Cookie cat crossed over the rainbow 🌈 bridge. She took a piece of my heart with her when she left. But she did send me a new feline friend to help with the loss.

Cookie was an incredible pet, friend, furbaby, confidant, nurse, etc. She was gorgeous, intelligent, and sassy. She saved my life more than once.

Here is a collage of cute photos from the last few years. See alt text for description.

I miss you, my sweet Cookie.

I am incredibly sad to announce that Cookie crossed the rainbow bridge and left this plane of existence the afternoon of May 6th, 2025. She was at home, surrounded by her hooman, roommate, and the kindest vet from Lifting Stars Veterinary.

Cookie's Siamese genetics made her prone to congenital heart disease. With an unknown kittenhood on the streets, her start in life wasn't the best.

While we only had seven years together, we had a really full relationship and a strong bond. I gave Cookie the best of everything that I could afford, and everyone always said I was the best cat mom.

I miss her so much!! I've cried so much since she's been gone. There's a Cookie cat-shaped void in my life. I miss my best friend, coworker, cuddle buddy, nurse, and child. While I have adopted another cat, she isn't a replacement for Cookie. Because there can never be a replacement for Cookie. She was a singular entity, and has taken part of my heart with her.

Thank you to all Cookie's followers over the years. We will miss interacting with you. Should you wish to donate to Cookie's end of life care, please reach out via DM.

Long time no post... Things have been intense on the home front for the past few months. I'm reminding my hooman to practice self-care and rest by modelling the behaviours. If she's a smart hooman she'll follow my lead, as my way of being is clearly superior...

Earlier this week there was a heat 🔥 wave (33°C for several days). My hooman noticed that I was melting, and wrapped an ice pack in a tea towel to keep me cool. I didn't lay on/right against this thing, but it did help me get through those scorching days. Thanks for taking care of me, hooman!

It's been several years since I did a selfie with my hooman... I'm not huge on selfies, but I do love my hooman so very much so I obliged today. How lucky she is to have me 😸😻

Hahaha, my hooman caught me mid-yawn and I look like I'm giving her heck. Which I do, on the regular. I mean, I am part Siamese... Being vocal is in my genetic wheelhouse.

Hey hooman, I know we just went for a stroll...but how about another? I will even put up with wearing that confounded harness and leash. Spring is here, and I am ready to be outside more!

Business cat is back at it, participating on a call about authentic communication at work. I know all about communication - I have nailed the perfect scream to get my hooman out of bed in the morning. I'm very good at expressing my needs. 😸😼

Hey pals, today is my birthday! My hooman walked all the way to Happy Cat to buy me special treats to eat for dinner. I'm a lucky kitty! She also bought me my favourite mouse toys to replace the ones that have gone into the abyss (under furniture). She insisted on having us pose for a photo today, I obliged. I'm feeling mighty cute, not bad for 7 years old!

Hey hooman! Know what time it is? It's time to focus on ME! You're not working so that means you're free to give me all the attention, play, and praise for being the best kitty. Let's go!

Today marks 6 years since I was adopted by an incredible hooman who made my life so much better! I'm happy to be with my furever person and to be in a safe and supportive home. I may not always show my appreciation, but it's there.
