Throwback to 2007, My first professional cage fight. I was 17 with little to no training. Fought a tough Tony Boyle’s. Lucky enough to have Herb Dean ref my fight, (Cecil People’s was the other ref in rotation 😂) I won by Kimura in 1 minute and 23 seconds. #gladiatorchallenge #mma #ufc #herbdean #bjj #jiujitsu #10thp4l #zp4l #fearnoroll #cjj #rubberguardians by @cordesgains

What a wild experience. Getting to show a room of Rubber Guard Assassins the Hindulotine and talking through the paths with @eddiebravo10p was absolutely surreal.
Thank you @truelegacystudio for capturing such an amazing moment.

Marcello Garcias high elbow guillotine can be effective very quickly. Unfortunately it seems this ref was unaware of the physical cues that indicate an athlete has loss consciousness, but we can use this as a learning opportunity moving forward. There were clear signs that could have helped this ref out, the first is the stiffening of the legs, after that we can see a plantar flexion of the toes. And finally when an athlete who has a strangle locked in tells you “I think he’s unconscious” check on the opponent, either by communication or by moving their hand and seeing if it’s limp.

Will the Mussolini Lock actually break a leg? I saw this question on reddit the other day so I immediately bought a baseball bat to find out!
