Small-town Italy 🇮🇹 & Cali sunshine 🌞 @californiatoitaly
Eats, adventures, 🧵sewing🪡 & thrifted finds

POSTS STORIES REELS

When everything comes together perfectly to celebrate our little one arriving in less than 2 months! 😅 Oh how time has flown 🌞☁️ Ideal weather, thrifted and handmade decor, gorgeous blooms, delicious food, surrounded by close to 50 of our friends and family. I keep replaying the most beautiful day back in my mind, flipping through the photos. 📷

@bchampla thank you for capturing this candid!

Pizzas by @thepizzaprof! Couldn’t rave about Matt’s delicious pizza, hospitality and setup more.

Personal fave flavors (currently not eating red sauce cause it flares up my heartburn 😭) : Sausage, Ricotta & Hot Honey (White Pie) + BBQ Chicken

The most beautiful cake from @pistachiofocacceria 🥹 I lost count of how many people asked about where we got the cake.

The handsomest bartender! @walteregonajourney made cocktails and poured wines from his work • D’Aquino Imports! Look at the cutest handwritten labels. Spritz! Bellini!

Grandma-to-be was such a good host, she almost forgot to try the pizza! Don’t worry, we reminded her 😜

A snapshot of some of the lovely humans who surrounded us with love 💗🥹

Grabbed a beautiful assortment of flowers from @traderjoes and made the arrangements for the tables. 🌻

I am proud to say all of the decor was thrifted or handmade! I wanted a nice balance of California and Italian vibes!

The vessels for the flowers were thrifted, from our collection at home, or from Italy — brought back empty @crodinoitalia bottles, @ilanawintour found this beautiful tin.

I made a fabric scrap garland from scraps I’d been saving from sewing projects. Good thing I love blue 💙 And Ilana made the sweetest “ciao, bambino” banner 🥹 wish I’d gotten a better photo of them hanging!

When I told @ameliaweinstock I didn’t really want any activities, she suggested a calendar where people can guess the date baby arrives & to have our guests create an ABC book for him, illustrating each letter. I’m so excited to put it together 💗

Another suggestion from @ameliaweinstock, request books with a note inside instead of cards. Her sweet mama bought us this Montessori bookshelf from @ecr4kids off of our @zolababy registry and it became the perfect spot for guests by @coreymarshall

5 fall activities in Solvang, California 🍂🎃

Solvang is one of our favorite getaways: small, walkable, and always full of new places to explore. Here’s how we do fall in the Santa Ynez Valley:
🎃 Shop festive fall décor and spot the creative scarecrows around town. @piecesofthepastsolvang
🍷 Follow the spooky food and wine trail for seasonal fare (DM me if you want the link)
👻 Book a @thehauntghosttours (there’s a once-a-year @solvangfestivaltheater paranormal investigation + the wine and true crime tour = our favorite and happening every weekend) @finalgirlwines @highrollertikilounge
🌽 Pick pumpkins at @solvangfarmerpumpkinpatch, wander the corn maze, and grab some kettle corn. It’s a short drive from downtown and SO worth it!

Save this for your fall weekend getaway, and tell me what you’d do first! 👇

Where to eat in Big Sur: 7 spots along Highway 1 worth pulling over for 🌲🍔🌅

We stayed at @riversidebigsur and spent our days driving up and down this stretch of Highway 1, stopping at just about every spot. The whole trip had a slow, cozy, no-rush feel: ocean views, mountain air, and a delicious meal always somewhere close. Swipe through for everything we ate 👉

Save this for your next Big Sur road trip 📌 and tell me your favorite Big Sur stop in the comments!

I’ve been staying updated on the Timber Fire on the Watch Duty app, and I’m so glad to report Highway 1 has fully reopened through Big Sur and beyond! 🎉 The fire is still only partially contained, so please stay alert if you’re traveling in the area. Sending continued strength to everyone in Big Sur who’s been affected. 🙏

🍗 @fernwoodbigsur: This fried chicken sandwich just made my top fried chicken sandwiches list. Fries and a cold beer on the side.

🥪 @bigsurroadhouse: A tuna melt and a pulled pork sandwich, plus the patio is super dreamy (see photo 1).

🌅@nepenthe.bigsur: We ordered the roasted garlic and goat cheese and the banana cream pie. We had dinner plans later but wanted to stop by anyway, so we did apps and dessert. My tip: get here with plenty of time before sunset, put your name in, and wander the property until a table opens up. We ended up with a perfect spot overlooking the ocean and the sunset.

🍀 @bigsurtaphouse: We visited around St. Patrick’s Day, so the menu was themed. The corned beef sandwich and tetris tots were delish.

🥞 @ripplewoodresortbigsur: Pancakes to fuel a hike at Ripplewood Café. I love the quaint diner vibe.

🌯 @bigsurriverinn: The biggest post-hike burritos! Find them at the back of the market on the property.

🕯️ @deetjensbigsur: Perfect for a special occasion. We came here for my birthday dinner, and I’ll share more in an upcoming post! by @coreymarshall

Point Lobos State Natural Reserve 🌊🌲 often called “the greatest meeting of land and water in the world.” A more than worthy quick stop on the coastal drive from Pacific Grove toward Big Sur.

What we spotted: wildflowers in bloom along the bluffs, a hawk perched trailside, and sea otters and harbor seals just offshore. The reserve protects one of the last stands of native Monterey Cypress (the other is in Pebble Beach).

Good to know: parking inside the reserve fills up early, so arrive before mid-morning if you can. You may see people parking outside and walking in when you arrive, but I highly recommend talking to the person at the window at the entrance to get a better status on parking. We found a great spot inside even when it seemed very crowded!

I’ve been keep up with the updates on the Timber Fire in the area daily on the Watch Duty app, and I’m so glad to report Highway 1 has fully reopened through Big Sur and beyond! 🎉 It’s a small bright spot in what’s been a hard few weeks for this community. The fire is still burning and only partially contained, so please stay alert if you’re traveling in the area. Sending continued strength to everyone in Big Sur who’s been affected. 🙏

POV: 48 hours in Rome and food is the itinerary 🍝

@trapizzino • Roman street food triangles of pizza dough filled with deliciousness. We got burrata & alici | meatball with sauce
+ suppli • classic | mushroom & sausage

@brucioroma • zucchini flowers & anchovies | summer special with pork, peaches & more

@cafemerenda_roma • croissant with cream & raspberry | pain suisse (chocolate and cream) + espresso & cappuccino were all delicious ☕️

@dacasamanco located in @mercatoditestaccio • burrata, anchovies & zucchini flower | peach and lardo | burrata, dried tomato, pine nuts & pesto | zucchini & sausage 😋 they were all SO GOOD

@otaleg_roma • a must stop for me! I always get some form of pistacchio, but was pleasantly surprised by the ricotta flavor with chocolate and orange (basically the essence of cannoli filling)

@loscopettaroroma • another spot we return to every trip!
Crostini with beans | cacio e pepe | rigatoni alla gricia (officially my favorite Roman pasta dish — cheese, pepper & guanciale) | visciole (sour 🍒) crostata | ciambelline with wine

Airport breakfast ✈️ Alemagna Caffé • (honestly so good) pistacchio croissant & espresso

We loved our little rental with a view of the ocean, walking distance from downtown Summerland and the beach. Just the trip we wanted: slowed down, yummy food, beach day & thrifting.

Thank you for the outpouring of love on our announcement! I’m honestly overwhelmed. I’d like to reply back to all of you eventually, but until then just know all the outpouring of love means the world to us. 💗 by @coreymarshall

Mama & papa loading late fall 2026 🥹 thank you @mamaphotowedding for capturing us in our Italian hometown 💗 by @coreymarshall

Opening up our Italian home after over a year away 🇮🇹 From vacuuming for what feels like all day to a surprise ceiling issue, stubborn toilet, and a wifi hiccup — reopening never quite goes to plan. A walk into town for lunch, fresh produce, and a visit to the free library makes it all worth it. Plus, dinner at the newly renovated (and reopened!) @trattoria_beccona in the next borgo over. 🍝✨ We wouldn’t have it any other way. Stay tuned to see what we get up to on this short, but sweet trip 👀

Italian takeout in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley 🍕🇮🇹

@stica_sy brings Roman-style pizza al taglio, fresh paninis, and gourmet Italian products to Santa Ynez. It’s fast food done the slow food way — quality ingredients, done right. This is officially our new go-to for a quick bite that still tastes like it took all day to make.

Swipe to see more of this charming spot ➡️

Santa Ynez Valley, but make it a birthday trip for the books 📖✨ my mom and I brought along @reddiningbook as our regional passport — and it led us straight to our new favorite, @pencevineyards. Stunning property, incredible tasting, and a candle-lit glass of sparkling for the birthday girl that we didn’t see coming 🥹
