'We organised this festival to show beautiful things' - and didn't we just.

These performances featured as part of our Memory of China Festival last month - which was presented by our friends at the County Hall Dance Centre (@countyhalldancecentre 👋). So this is technically a Memory of Memory of China.

The festival was just a little taster of our growing programme celebrating dance, culture and artistic collaboration here at County Hall.

After hours at County Hall is not for the faint hearted 👻

Our (beautiful) building dates from 1911 - and when the nights draw in and you're the only one left in the office, things can get a little spooky... by @countyhallarts

Looking back on the four seasons @four.seasons.festival , every moment feels a little more precious. 🍂 @countyhallarts

It’s hard to say goodbye, but some beautiful moments are meant to stay with us forever.

2026 is slowly coming to an end. Until we meet again, may we carry these memories with us. 🤍

See you next time. ✨ #event #dance #london #dancer #arts by @countyhallarts

Performing some virtuosic violin music just one day before the festival began was quite a challenge… but I do love a good challenge! 🤪🎻

Enjoy a little snippet of some fast violin playing! 💥

Day Two of the Four Seasons Festival 🍂 As the Leaves Turn

We began the morning with the beautiful sounds of @loomduo exploring folk traditions and early music through recorders and percussion, followed by the Young Leaves Concert, showcasing talented young classical musicians.

Then artist @yasemingava.art led our Autumn Leaf Pressing Clay Workshop, where participants used botanical materials to create unique patterns in clay.

As evening fell, the Atrium came alive with Music That Dances, as guitarists @zoebarnettguitarist and @georginadadson took us on a colourful musical journey through Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Spain.

Finally we closed the day with a curated screening of short films, followed by a short Q&A.

A heartfelt thank you to all our artists, musicians, filmmakers, workshop participants and everyone who joined us throughout the festival. We hope you enjoyed the festival as much as we did!

Until the next season!✨

Day one of the Four Seasons Festival 🍂As the Leaves Turn

Despite the storm and heavy rain, we had an incredible, cosy day inside County Hall, filled with music and creativity.

From folk music by @togfaire_music and energetic dancing by @jigandaswig in the morning, to autumn-inspired crafts for little ones, a moment of calm with yoga @the_joyofyoga and sound healing @senyogalondon, and a musical journey around the world with Latitude Trio @rachelhowie28 @paul_stgeorges Saturday was full of wonderful moments shared together.

A huge thank you to all our artists and everyone who joined us today!

The festival continues tomorrow with more live music, our Young Leaves concert, a hands-on clay workshop and an evening of guitar and short films.

See you at County Hall for another day of As the Leaves Turn. 🍁🍂
