Our next Craft Cinema is in 11 days.

Come join us in the Odeon in Point Square on 13th October at 7:30pm.

Everybody is welcome, come solo or with friends. Don’t forget your crafts, anything you can do in your cinema seat (that is not messy😉) is welcome.

Tickets in bio.

See you for some spooky magic soon. 👻 by @craftcinemadublin

Looking forward to getting back to UCD Cinema.

Legally Blonde is first up on September 24th

A reminder you can come alone, you don’t need a crafty pal, maybe you can meet a new one. 💞Don’t forget to bring your current WIP. Everything is allowed, once it’s not messy and you can do it in a cinema seat. 😉

Will you come along? by @craftcinemadublin

✨ One year of Craft Cinema ✨

When we started this little idea, we hoped a few people might come along with their knitting, crochet and other crafts. We never imagined the wonderful community that would grow around it. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has joined us this year. You’ve crafted (laughed, sang and danced) through comedies, musicals, dramas and everything in between, and you’ve made CraftCinemaDublin something really special.

Because of your support, we’ve been able to donate our surplus income to the @woolstoreireland crowdfunder to help build an Irish wool mill in Galway. We’re delighted that our community can play a small part in supporting the future of Irish wool. 🐑🧶🇮🇪

A huge thank you to our volunteers — Niamh, Trish, Anne-Marie, Emma and Michelle — who check you in at every screening. They are all participants first, buying their own tickets and giving their time to help make our events happen.

And to our original Stitch & Sip crew in Dublin 4: thank you for believing in this idea from day one. If you’d ever like to join us, send us a DM and we’ll share the details of our next meet-up.

We’re taking a little summer break, but we’ll be back on 24 September, with tickets going on sale at 10am on 1 September.

Thank you for an unforgettable first year. We’ll see you in the autumn. 🍁 by @craftcinemadublin

Thank you so much Niamh, Anne Marie, Trish and everyone who came to the screening on Monday.

I was so delighted to be there, I completely forgot to take pictures 🙈

I am so grateful for all the support and for meeting all the amazing people.🙌

Linda @galwaylambs and I will be definitely back to join you at your next screening. by @craftcinemadublin

✨ We had a good time, didn’t we? ✨

Celebrating #WWKIPDay in style with such a wonderful group of makers was an absolute joy. 🧶💛

We didn’t manage to catch everyone in the photos, but it was so lovely to spend the day having tea, crafting, chatting and celebrating together.

🎬 Join us for Mamma Mia! on 29th June for one last Craft Cinema before our summer break.

☀️ If you can’t make that one, have a fantastic summer and we’ll see you again in the autumn for more movies, more crafting and more community.

🧶 WWKIP Day 2026 is nearly here!🧶

Join us in St Stephen’s Green from 3.15pm tomorrow, Saturday (weather permitting) for some knitting, chats, and good company.

Can’t make it? Knit wherever you are and tag us in your photos — we’d love to see how you’re celebrating.

We’ll be out on the Vintage Tea Bus sharing updates from around Dublin all day, so follow along!

Thanks to everyone who’s been part of our community over the last year. We’ve got lots planned for autumn and winter, but first... fingers crossed for sunshine! ☀️

#WWKIPDay2026 #CraftCinemaDublin by @craftcinemadublin

Cosy cinema nights and crafting with new friends? Honestly I think I’ve found one of my favourite things to do in Dublin.

I went along to a craft cinema night at @odeoncinemas in @pointsquaredublin where everyone brought crochet, knitting, embroidery, and creative projects to work on while watching The Devil Wears Prada 2 @tdwp2 . It was such a relaxing and inspiring atmosphere and such a lovely way to be in the company of other creative people in Ireland.

Massive thanks to @craftcinemadublin for bringing events like this to the northside.

If you’re looking for cosy things to do in Dublin, creative community events, crochet groups, knitting socials, or crafty nights out - this is such a fun idea.

Would you go to a craft cinema night?

As summer arrives, it feels like the end of a chapter 🌞
After our first full year at Craft Cinema, we’re feeling so grateful. So many of you have come along for the ride — bringing your crafts, your creativity, and your company.

We’ve seen incredible projects, welcomed people from all over Dublin, and shared so many films together. And honestly… we just want to keep going 💙
✨
We’ll be taking a little break over the summer, but keep an eye on our socials (and follow us on Eventbrite at Vintage Inn Stitchers) for autumn events 👀
✨
Before we go, we wanted to do something to support the craft industry in Ireland.

When we came across Woolstore in Galway fundraising to build a full mill — adding value to Irish wool — it felt like the perfect initiative to support 🧶

So for our final event this term:
👉 100% of ticket sales will be donated

Can’t make it on the night but still want to support?
Head to: idonate.ie/crowdfunder/woolstore

🎤 Singing along very much encouraged by @craftcinemadublin

🎂🥳🎉Happy 1st birthday to us. 🎉🥳🎂

We can’t believe a year has passed since 15 of us took a notion to turn up to UCD Cinema and see what it would be like to craft in a cinema seat.

Thank you all for all your support. We’ve loads more plans and ideas for the rest of the year, so hope you will all keep coming along for the ride.

The movie on the screen was The Devil Wears Prada. Little did we think we’d be hosting a screening of Devil Wears Prada 2 in the Odeon with over a hundred people a year later. #totesemosh 😘 by @craftcinemadublin

Tickets for Devil Wears Prada 2 are flying ✨

We’re already ¾ full — thank you so much for coming along on this adventure with us 💛

Just so you know… Craft Cinema is run entirely by volunteers.
We don’t make a profit — tickets are priced to cover costs.
We do this because we love crafting at the movies, and we love the community that’s growing around it 🧶🎬

Also — this isn’t a hard sell.
Our events are going ahead with the people we already have, so we’re not trying to fill every last seat.
This is more of a quiet invitation.

If you’ve been thinking about coming but feel a bit unsure — you are so welcome.
Maybe you:
• want a bit of time for yourself
• don’t want to ask a friend to go
• don’t have crafting friends
You wouldn’t be the only one — 43% of tickets for this screening were bought by people coming on their own.

And honestly? Many of us organising these events didn’t know each other before showing up to something like this.

So if you’re looking for a gentle, creative community, you might just find it here 🤍

No pressure. No sign-up. No mailing lists or follow-ups. Just come along — once, a few times or whenever it suits you ✨ by @craftcinemadublin
