Today marked our last concert for @welshnat_opera_cencym singing at St. David’s Hospital. We’ve been giving weekly concerts in hospitals in Cardiff over the past 9 years, including online concerts using iPads during Covid times.

Thank you to the brilliant team from @mental_health_matters_wales who have supported us over the years. ✨

The best team, led incredibly by @aprilheade. Thank you.

Back home in the UK after a fantastic trip to The Netherlands. So proud of this group of boys who two weeks ago, got together in Brecon for a week’s residential course, where they learnt all their music and met each other for the first time.
After a brilliant concert in Cardiff, we headed across The Channel where they participated in workshops and concerts, with a little time for some sightseeing. Super proud of them all. Thanks boys and thanks to all the amazing staff. X 🇳🇱

Massive thanks to @taithwales for making this trip possible. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 by @craigyates

Fabulous, sold out, first concert in The Netherlands this evening. Only Boys Aloud Academi performed beautifully in Zeist. 🇳🇱🎶

What’s is it like to be a conductor of a choir? Here is my view in rehearsal of this year’s Only Boys Aloud Academi. Watch the boys learning their music and moves in the rehearsal room and in the concert hall.

Things I’ve learnt watching this:
I move my head a lot - sorry if you feel seasick watching this.
I’m rarely quiet. Either singing along or speaking the words.
You get the best view and the best seat in the house for their performance.

What a way to end an incredible week!

Tonight’s concert at @RWCMD was something really special, and I couldn’t be prouder of this lot. Watching them grow in confidence, perform with such passion, and support one another has been a joy.

They’ve worked so hard all week, and tonight they absolutely shone. 🌟

A huge thank you to all the choir leaders, singing teachers and pastoral staff, especially @llinos_eleri for everything you do. None of this would be possible without everything you all do behind the scenes.

Thank you @rhipritchard for playing so brilliantly all week and @theperformancecoachuk for making them look so amazing.

So many wonderful memories made this week. ❤️

Now on to The Netherlands 🇳🇱 for a little concert tour. by @craigyates

The last few months, I’ve been taking rehearsals for the Good Vibrations Chorus in Cardiff.

Created by @rwcmd in partnership with @parkinsonsuk it is a free, joyous, fun choir for people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers.

It’s been a brilliant few months and I’ve enjoyed every second of making music with you all. You are a very special bunch of people, and you make a fabulous sound!

Getting the Cardiff Uni Rugby squad ready for their Varsity match against Swansea! Had an absolute blast teaching them Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau - the Welsh National Anthem and they nailed it! 😊

🎙Coming This Week on The Aloud Charity Podcast… Craig Yates

@craigyates, Creative Director of Aloud, shares a powerful and personal story about how music became more than performance, it became safety, confidence, and belonging.

In conversation with host and Aloud alumnus @tomhierofficial, Craig speaks openly about growing up, bullying, role models, and why seeing men sing with pride helped change what felt possible for a generation of boys.

Mae Craig yn rhannu pam mae cerddoriaeth a mannau diogel fel Aloud mor hanfodol i bobl ifanc heddiw. Pennod onest, ysbrydoledig ac emosiynol.
