Band: @envyroomhtx Venue: @warehouselivemidtown Photos by @metajamz In case you needed proof that Envy Room is on a roll, here's what they were up to at Houston's Warehouse Live in Midtown last week! The type of band to make you feel every emotion all at once, Envy Room will take you on a melodic roller-coaster of emotions and there's no signs of stopping. This was a truly amazing set although a bit of a bittersweet moment as Lead Guitarist Johnny Valentine announced this would be his last time sharing the stage with Envy Room for the foreseeable future to focus on something much more important... becoming a father! 👶 Congratulations Johnny!!! 🎊 We wish you the best on your journey with your family. 💙💙💙 . . . . . ------DM Metajamz for photos of your band----- by @crazybassbro

I met Eli back in August of 2022 when I stopped by his pawn shop to look at a PRS guitar. We got to talking about music and he had mentioned his old band Mirror Lake and how he wanted to start up a new band. I got his number and we would talk daily about the direction of the band and he would even send me his demos. Never Let Go was one of the first he sent and I was instantly hooked. We made a trip to Guitar Center where he showed me how to play it, at the time I was going to play Rhythm guitar, and the band was called "The Yearly Mistakes" Eventually we got Johnny to join the band and with me being the least experienced guitarist it was decided that I would play bass. I never played bass before but I was game to try so I went to guitar center and bought "Nattie" (this Squier 70s Jazz bass) and a Fender Rumble 500. It felt great but I ended up falling in love with a Precision bass sound and feel so thats what I used from then on. Nattie ended up getting some use when I filled in on bass for Happier Than You but thats a story for another day. by @crazybassbro
When I Come Around by Green Day was my first challenge as a bass player. When I first joined Envy Room I was brand new to bass, most of what I was playing was root notes but farely simple for me to pick up after my history with guitar (So Far Away not withstanding). I remember there was a show we needed more songs fill a 45 minute set and up to that point we had only covered Dammit. Johnny put foreward the idea to cover this song with somewhat of a challege to me to learn it before the show. I grinded harder than ever to learn it and I was ready to play it the very next practice. Cheers to the boys for always pushing me to get better! by @crazybassbro
Definitely not me trying to steal @crackiswackmac spot in @theshroonsband. Get experienced... by @crazybassbro
