Blå Vas for NK @nordiskakompaniet - Nothing has to be perfect

The purpose was to investigate what perfection and imperfection mean today in our society. Especially with mass production, we have an obsession for details as we expect every product to be similar to the image we can see in a catalog. This vase has an uncommon shape, some bumps, some "pimples" and some stains. The idea was to take a step back from controlling everything and wanting to reach perfection: Nothing has to be perfect. I then asked myself if we could find beauty in something imperfect. Showcasing imperfections is also a way to make an object unique and in this sense more valuable.

Focusing on the disassembling part rather than the assembling itself can help us make an impact on our production and affect our way of consuming.

(Dis)assembling

Between the hit of a global pandemic that tacked us to stay home and a climate change alert, technical and use stakes need to be taken into account on the same level to provide the production of more sustainable goods.

(Dis)assembling

Assembling techniques are no details. The ideal of designing more sustainable objects involves thinking about versatile use to provide evolution, combination and deconstruction by the end of their life.

We decided to glaze them white in order to let the final look be as natural as the elements and allow the colors of the food to pop out to awaken the senses at each bite. by @creerdulien

We commonly say that there are 4 elements well separated but we thought there were more of these as it creates a life cycle.
