For the man who keeps starting over and can’t make it stick.

This is what I built The Rebuild Project around.

Three phases.

One goal.

The programme I wish I had when I needed it the most.

Had a few new faces follow me as of recent, so here are 10 things you probably didn’t know about me.

Hopefully this doesn’t make you want to unfollow me immediately. by @crofty_fit

I’ve spent most of my life trying to close the gap between who I believed I was and how I was actually living.

This is that story.

From the self conscious kid in the changing room who couldn’t figure out why his body never matched his effort, to losing the most important person in my life and completely losing myself along with her, to years of drifting, the weekend warrior cycle I couldn’t seem to break, and the moment at 28 that made it impossible to keep pretending I had it together.

Everything I’ve been through is the reason The Rebuild Project exists.

Because real transformation isn’t just physical.

It starts with your mindset, your identity, with changing how you see yourself and rebuilding around something deeper than appearance.

That’s what I help men do.

Get back to the body and the version of themselves they’ve been drifting away from.

But this time, make it stick.

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re exactly who I built this for.

‘Don’t settle for average’ by @crofty_fit

I’m not joking when I say this.

I think you would genuinely get better results signing up for Joe Wicks’ HIIT workouts than what you’re currently doing.

The amount of blokes I speak to who tell me they’re trying to get in shape, only for their training week to sound something like this:

“Yeah, I’ll do a HIIT workout on Monday, go for a run on Wednesday, maybe get one gym session in and then do a bit of abs at the weekend.”

What?

You’re approaching the gym like it’s an all you can eat buffet. Just piling a bit of everything onto your plate without having the faintest idea what you’re actually trying to achieve.

And then wondering why you don’t look any different six months later.

Look, there’s nothing wrong with HIIT, running or doing a bit of abs.

Been there done that got the T Shirt.

But if your main goal is to build some muscle, lose body fat and actually look like you lift, perhaps your training needs a bit more thought than picking whatever workout takes your fancy that day.

You don’t need to be doing everything.

You need to get good at doing the things that are actually going to move you towards your goal.

Because being busy, sweating your bollocks off and feeling knackered after a workout doesn’t mean you’re making progress.

Honestly, I reckon just get on YouTube and give one of Joe Wicks’ school PE lessons a go.

At least you’ll know what you’re doing that day. by @crofty_fit

98 times out of 100, when people think about changing their body, it’s diet, diet, diet, and nothing afterwards.⁣
⁣
This is why you don’t sustain results. ⁣
⁣
Josh spent nearly 14 months doing something different. ⁣
⁣
When we started, he was a coach who’d got comfortable. Still going to the gym, still putting the work in, but with nothing to push towards. That’s a dangerous place to be, because the months go by and you look up and you’re no further forward.⁣
⁣
So we built him a plan out of phases, and every phase was there to set up the next one. Each had to be completed so the next could go better, and then the one after that. ⁣
⁣
He learned when it was time to ‘lock in’ (God I hate that phrase) and when it was time to enjoy himself. When to push, and when to pull back, relax and have a good time. That is what balance is, it’s knowing when to push and when to pull, and I’d like to think we did a pretty spectacular job of it.⁣
⁣
Recently he stood in front of a camera in the best shape of his life. A man who started out about as comfortable as it gets has probably done more for his body composition and how he feels about himself in 14 months than he has in the last 10 years. ⁣
⁣
That is what taking a longer-term mindset to your body composition and your physique can do.⁣
⁣
One of the things I’m most proud of is how consistent he was the whole way through, and he deserves every bit of credit for it. The shoot day was just a very small by product of all his hard work coming together and it was a super rewarding, fulfilling day.⁣
⁣
You don’t have to be a beginner to benefit from coaching. Sometimes you just need someone to map it out for you and hold you accountable along the way, someone who understands your life and your preferences, so that you can work together. That’s what coaching is. It’s working together to make sure you get to where you want to be in the most efficient way possible.⁣
⁣
If you’ve been training for a while but feel like you’ve been stuck in the same place for far too long, think about where taking the long view could get you. ⁣

A reality check is sometimes more important than another diet plan. by @crofty_fit

If you have ever said, “my training is fine, it’s just my nutrition that’s the problem”.

I STRONGLY urge you swipe right. by @crofty_fit

You can know what you’re doing with training and nutrition and still need a coach.

Josh is a perfect example of that.

He’s a coach himself, but like a lot of people, he’d reached a point where he’d become way too comfortable.

And that’s a dangerous place to be.

You’re still going to the gym and you’re still putting the work in.

But without a clear goal or something to push towards, it’s easy to get stagnant and settle into the same routines.

Before you know it, months have passed and you’re no further forward.

Over nearly 14 months of working together, Josh has made unbelievable progress and on Friday, he stepped in front of the camera in the best shape of his life.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how consistent he’s been throughout the process.

Because when you combine that consistency with a clear goal, a plan and accountability, you give yourself a real opportunity to achieve something special.

And that’s the point.

You don’t have to be a beginner to benefit from coaching. You don’t have to be clueless about training or nutrition.

Sometimes, you just need someone to challenge you, give you direction and help you get out of your own way.

Josh has really put the work in, and he deserves every bit of credit for what he’s achieved.

But his journey is a reminder that being comfortable isn’t always a good thing.

You’re often two decisions away from changing things for yourself.

Admitting you might need help, and then taking action on it.

If you’ve been training for a while but feel like you’ve been stuck in the same place for far too long, DM me ‘REBUILD.’

Let’s change that.

The 🐐 doing 🐐 things.

Harrison ran 3:10 at the Berlin Marathon, a 5-minute PB, and 14 weeks before that he was feeling lost with his fitness and wondering where the motivation had gone.

If that sounds familiar, you probably know the feeling.

You trained properly at some point and you know exactly what to do, but work got busy and a few weekends got out of hand, so now you’re a couple of months into doing very little.

You already have all the information you need, and what’s been missing is a reason to turn up and someone making sure you do.

Harrison gave himself both.

He picked a date and committed to it, and within a few weeks everything started to move.

His training had purpose again and food tightened up, which brought back the momentum he thought he’d lost.

14 weeks is a short amount of time, and it’s amazing how quickly things turn around once you stop negotiating with yourself and commit to a goal.

Your mindset shifts first and the body follows it.

Swipe through to see how it came together.

Proud of you my man, fully deserved 🙏❤️

If you’re ready to commit to the next 14 weeks, whether that’s your body composition or a race, or more importantly BOTH…

We’re either entering full monk mode for the next 90 days or completely forgetting we have fitness goals until January.

For the very, very, very large majority of people, it’s probably going to be the latter.

So unless you want your gym membership to become a monthly charitable donation, it’s probably worth having a bit of a plan for the next few months.

Your training becomes less consistent.

Steps end up dropping.

The weekends get longer.

The food and drink rack up, and before you know it, you’re waking up in January wondering what the fu*k happened.

It’s cold, it’s dark, everyone’s knackered and spending the evening on the sofa becomes increasingly appealing.

But this is why I’ll be pushing my clients to have something to work towards over the next few months.

Something in the diary.

A holiday in March.

A half marathon in February.

A strength target.

Or a physique goal they want to make progress towards before Christmas or early 2027.

You need to give yourself a reason to keep showing up when motivation inevitably takes a hit.

That doesn’t mean becoming a social recluse until spring or refusing to enjoy Christmas.

It does mean having a bit of direction, keeping your training consistent and having some structure around your food, even when life gets busy.

Because if you drift through the next three months with no real plan, there’s a good chance you’ll end up back where you started in January.

Or worse.

And if you’ve spent the last few Januaries making the same promises to yourself, maybe it’s time to do something different.

Have something to work towards this winter.

Give yourself a reason to show up.

You don’t need a winter arc.

You need a plan. by @crofty_fit
